Still feels like your not gone. One of the most important women in my life. I will always remember how soft your hands were. A core memory I have of you is sitting on the bus headed to downtown to walk around like we always did, and I held your hand I remember how soft and how pretty your nails were. While most women had acrylic nails, you didn't your nails were strong and natural, you always had them painted a nice maroon or red color. I remember how your veins felt as I touch the top of your hand, you weren't skinny but your veins were prominent. Oh Mami Quica how I wished I could have held your hand one more time, to feel your soft hand in mine. Watching you through zoom was horrible, I watched helpless as I saw your struggle to breath I felt hopeless knowing you were alone and nobody was there to hold your beautiful hand. I want you to know it was never anyone intentions to not be there and hold your hands as you took your last breath. I wished things were different I wished that our world wasn't being consumed by a horrible illness. I wish I could have held your hand.
