Pedro often worried about his son, had since the first time the boy had come home from school in tears because the other children were cruel to him.
So when he knocked on Bruno's door, he tried not to show his concern. Julieta and Peppa had told him enough about how the other boys had tried to beat up their brother because of his gift, that he knew his son was still hurting.
"Brunito, may I come in?"
[ NOT ALONE ]
'take my hand' prompts!
Pepa is honestly just glad Bruno was willing to take her hand himself. He struggles with the whole reaching out thing, sometimes, and to see him trying at all makes her heart feel warm. She squeezes his hand doubly tight, shooting him a careful, affectionate look.
“Everything okay, hermanito?”
@amischievousgrin asked: “ perhaps i don’t say it enough, but… i’d like you to know that i’m always here, if you ever wanted to talk. ”
emotionally intense prompts || ❤ ❤
“ gracias, tío bruno. ” isabela’s voice was light as she turned to look at her uncle, giving him a small smile, tucking some hair behind her ear. when she had been eleven, and bruno had told her that the life of her dreams would be hers, she had been ecstatic, and it was the hope of that vision that kept her going, even as pressure mounted on her shoulders day by day. everyone else’s visions came true, after all... wouldn’t that mean hers would, too? and now --- it HAD. it was a relief, a weight from her shoulders, and she was grateful, at least, for the hope the vision had given her through the years.
“ you know -- you might not have been around as i got older, but.. the vision you gave me when i was little, it stuck with me. it helped me when things were.. hard. thinking about it.. it gave me hope that maybe i’d get through it. you were always here.. in a way. ” isabela shrugged her shoulders lightly, taking hold of her tío’s hands, giving them a small squeeze. “ so really.. thank you. ”
@amischievousgrin || Camilo
It was still weird to have Bruno around, and yet nobody in the family seemed to think the same thing as Camilo. Doing what they could to steer clear of their Uncle as the new house was built and certainly doing so afterwards too, Camilo found that their options in excuses to stay away were running thin... more so when Abuela requested Camilo help Bruno with ... well whatever it was that he was doing. Camilo hadn’t exactly listened to what it was, watching as Abuela left the two of them together.
And for a moment, a period of silence extended between the two of them, Camilo’s arms straight against their side, hands both at a 90 degree angle so that their palms faced the floor, looking around for just a moment as they fought for something to say.
When in doubt? Shift it out.
“Ayyyyy so what first, big guy!?” shifting on the spot as Camilo threw his arms out to the side and upwards, in Bruno’s form they kicked a leg out as they spun in place to face Bruno, a wide smile plastered on their face as they did so

@amischievousgrin liked something on the wish list so they get a thing
Bruno out of all his family, needed the most watching over, especially when he "left" so Pedro watched over him, made sure to redirect the others so that no one would discover him in the kitchen late at night, and just genuinely tried to keep Bruno safe.
He may not had been able to be there for his son physically, but he had a feeling Bruno knew he was there.
His son had fallen asleep in his old arm chair, so Pedro grabbed a blanket and put it over his sleeping son.
He hoped that Bruno's dreams were good, and not filled with the worry he often felt during his waking hours.
“it’s dark in here.” (for Julieta)
"It is.. But its alright. Just hold my hand, don't let it go. We will get out together."
