Hey hey <3 I too am upset with Ozan for proposing to Cagla … but I understand why he did.

Ozan is a textbook romantic. He has dedicated his entire life + career to Esra and his aspiration/need to make her happy (which I think stems from the fact that he doesn’t think he is good enough for her).

However, his heart has been broken by her multiple times - 1. When she divorced him and said she doesn’t love him, 2. When she asked why do people want to be in love, 3. When she stated “why should I be jealous of someone I never loved”, 4. The countless times she pushed him away + was rude to him when they were teens/kids and, 5. When he overheard Esras initial “plan” to make him fall in love with her for revenge (which we as the audience knows is a misunderstanding).

So it makes sense to me why he misunderstood and assumed she’s playing him! It all stems from his insecurities/assumptions that he doesn’t have the qualities to make someone like her love him … and since she’s admitted it multiple times … he has finally accepted it! He finds it hard to believe that she will ever love him :(

I know in recent eps he has improved his communication skills and has pushed for open conversation … but, i feel like his insecurities and her approach to love has led him to feel as if there’s no need to talk anymore… bc he thinks that he knows the answer.

I think that Ozan proposing to Cagla is a means to protect his heart. He knows that he will never ever fall in love with her (Cagla) … so he rather move away from Esra and to someone he believes loves him unconditionally (even tho it’s unrequited + super selfish of him). Hence, avoiding any possibility of heartbreak or the need to open himself up to love again + using it as an opportunity to show esra he no longer needs her.

Also, my heart broke for esra. He promised to always be there for her :( 💔 I wish ozan would just talk to her. But, he is so blinded by his insecurities 😔😔 she really deserves way more respect + better

Nope. Tbh, I’m not surprised. I don’t think there are repercussions for actors/celebs in this particular industry 🙈 but idk.

Like?? Word on the Twitter street is that K*aan U*rgancioglu allegedly a*bused his ex-girlfriend 🤷🏽‍♀️ yet … he still is one of their biggest stars. All his recent roles have been HITS (IMO).

I’ve seen tons of people complain that Esra looks like a dummy crying over him and it’s out of character. I disagree, Esra herself has mentioned that Ozan has the ability to turn her life upside down … so she’s bound to lose herself given what his done! Plus, her behaviour is a natural progression of what happens during heartbreak … you lose who you are for a bit + you mourn! It takes time to finally stand your ground and be who you once were.
