Boy You Got Good Eyes?
"Boy, you got good eyes?", asks the elderly white man in the battery section of Walgreens. I looked him over and realized 'Boy' was the best he could do, and generationally speaking I am not effected by that pronoun as my fathers or grandfathers have been. The man was holding a tiny battery stuck to a piece of tape and was trying to see if he had selected the correct replacement. I made sure his 364/363 battery got replaced properly instead of by the 377 type battery his eyes had taken a chance at. "I sure am glad I ran into you," he said with an ecstatic smile. "I'm glad you ran into me too," I replied with a pat on his shoulder. At the checkout, the man is also buying adult diapers and says to the clerk, "treat this man right," and she smiles and says, 'I treat all my customers good'. I turn to the man as I am leaving and chuckle, "my grandmas would haunt me if I didn't treat you right." Smile abound. Living and interacting is performance folks. The last scene always informs the next. Niceness doesn't need a god or God.
