~ Paint Box of Vizier Amenemope.
Date: ca. 1427-1401 B.C.
Place of origin: Egypt
Period: New Kingdom, Dynasty 18 (1540-1296 BC), reign of Amenhotep II
Medium: Boxwood with inscription inlaid in Egyptian blue.
Fragment of the coffin of Amenemope by Frans Vandewalle Via Flickr: Fragment of a wooden outer-coffin with painted decoration on plaster depicting pharaoh Amenemope the owner, offering to a funerary deity and Nun, the personification of the primeval waters, raising the solar barque. Thebes, 10th century BC. October 4, 2012, Canon 7D
It makes sense for this to be Nun, but he seems to be got up as Hapy, god of the Nile. That’s Nefertum seated to the right. This is at the British Museum.
ETA: The ever-knowledgable @bigbadjackal identifies the “funerary deity” (seated at left) as Anubis. Ta muchly!
The gold bracelet, adorned with spherical lapis lazuli beads, belonged to King Amenemope of the 21st Dynasty who ruled from 993 to 984 BC, missing from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Better is poverty in the hand of the god, Than wealth in the storehouse; Better is bread with a happy heart Than wealth with vexation.
