☼ : Childhood headcanon

Ambrose was that rich kid. Which you actually wouldn't expect with the way he is with money now, sure he has a really nice place to live and a good car.But he sees those as investments.

However, as padded as his childhood was, that didn't stop the night terrors, which were a near nightly occurrence, even with therapy.

Ambrose isn't afraid of anything Normal. Not after growing up as a child with night terrors.

He's only afraid of a few things, and the one he'll admit to is his fear of Silva.

Well, he doesn't really mind Linna?

But since Ambrose doesn't really like many people (I can count on one hand how many he likes) we can't call this like.

So, Honey was his.

And for the most part he's come to terms with the past tense as much as he wants to help Honey, to fix Honey.

Because there's always been this part of him enamored with Honey(Dorian) and a part that still wants to protect him.

He still calls Honey his, because he can barely remember a time where that wasn't his mindset. Even after he left, Honey was still his to protect.

Because Honey gave him a gift, when he agreed to be Silva's replacement. And Ambrose is many things, but not stupid. He knew Honey made a choice and could revoke that choice. 

He just never expected him to?

So, even though Honey hates him now, he'll still be hanging around, leaving money and food.

So. Seers. S e e r s.

Let's point out that he and Silva groomed Honey for years to take her place, okay. Let's start with that. Honey is his, but he's not Honey's. Not yet. Honey hasn't wrapped him up with words of destruction, with power, with mania.

Silva has. Even if he wanted out, he couldn't,not until she's dead. Because there's something intoxicating about her whispers, her words that never cease even during functions- to the point where Sapphire starts to eye them. 

He's tangled so deep he doesn't remember what he did without her.

But he's also sufficiently cowed (as cowed as someone as heartless, as unaffected can be), because he's seen what Silva does, knows her capabilities better than most. 

So his flippant comments about him being a Seer herder and things similar are just comments.
