Trainer walked out onto the grounds and looked around. He needed a hunt. He closed his eyes against the cool breeze. There was a time when he couldn't see, Bael blinded him for a good period of time. He had to adapt, and even now if he closed his eyes and focused, his other senses were much more heightened than they should be.

He raised his eyebrows at an unfamiliar sound nearby then the smell hit him. He tilted his head and nodded, confirming what he was hearing and smelling. The ice from the morning dew was starting to melt and crunched under his boots as he walked to the far side of the building.

Laying next to one of the buildings, hiding in an alcove behind some bushes was a young dog. He tried to stand, tried to back away, his growls warning, but his eyes frantic, especially when his legs gave out and he  fell back to the ground. Trainer knelt in front of it and watched. It wasn't dying, but if it was left it probably would. He could see the wounds, another dog or the like had attacked him and he was bleeding right around the ribs. 

This wasn't a wolf. He couldn't quite tell what sort of dog it was. It was a young male. Border Collie. If trainer looked at it closer he could tell. It had a tattered collar but no tags and the collar looked rather old. He put his hand out and the dog sniffed. It was so young, barely older than Effy, maybe a month or two older. Possibly a little more.  The dog growled then sniffed the air and lay it's head down, tilting it in confusion. Trainer smelled like a wolf but not. He had an odd smell, not even werewolves liked his smell. It was un natural, but this dog liked it and even scooted a little closer. 

Trainer was able to get close enough to touch the collar and turn it a little. There was a name embroidered on the collar. Ambrogino. He recognised the name but wasn't sure from where and knew it meant "Little Immortal One" He smiled and met the dogs eyes.

"Well, today you are going to live up to that name." He whispered before biting his wrist to produce a blood flow. The dog sniffed and as he expected, it tried to help him by licking at the wound, trying to stop his bleeding, or that's what he liked to think it was doing.

Ambrogino whimpered when the blood started to set iin and make him ache and Trainer started to pet him, trying to comfort him as he watched him heal.

The wound closed completely and the dog jumped to his feet and bolted, running to the gate and slipping through where it was just barely big enough for him. 

About an hour passed and Trainer came out of his little home to find Ambrogino on the porch. Nothing he did could coax the dog inside the little house but it followed him around the grounds and into and around the asylum. when he went back to his house the dog would scamper off then be back when he came out.
