The phrase in question literally is related to a post we REBLOGGED debunking arguments against the usage of the word "queer" where it was said in reply to the argument that queer has been used by straight people as a slur to hurt lgbtqa people and it was pointed out that literally almost ALL of lgbtqa identities have been used by straight people as a slur to hurt lgbtqa people. And this IS true

Words like gay, lesbian, bi etc HAVE been historically used as a slur to hurt lgbtqa people.Only a few years ago it was quite common to call things n people you disliked gay n many straight people STILL use the wordsgay and lesbian as insults. I grew up believing that those two words were insults bc i grew up seeing the people in my country and school using the words as insults ONLY and it wasnt until high school that i realized that they werent. This isnt debatable. Take it up with straight people if you have a problem instead of harassing people who point this out.

You might as well be pissed off at people who point out that lesbian relationships are fetishized and not taken seriously by straight people bc thats exactly how yall sound spreading this bullshit about us

I’m really upset, just personally and it did indeed become personal. But I’m also sad for the community as a whole. They really were shaming for writing books or spreading awareness about books because an ace said hey I really loved the mlm representation in this book you can buy it here. That I deserved it. Are LGBT people going to start attacking LGBT people because those people included an ace in their book?
