Today has been such an emotional day for us. I have been to the Aultman Cancer Center for almost 5 months, and the last 12 weeks I have been there every Friday. These nurses (plus a few that were off today) have become my friends and like family. They have taken the best care of me, and so when I rang that bell I knew that those weekly visits were coming to an end. Then we came home to our driveway and garage being decorated by our neighbor. It was such a sweet surprise! I cannot wait to start the rest of this journey. The team of amazing Nurses and Health Care Assistants who took such brilliant care of me yesterday, over what was an incredibly long day for emergency surgery. Not to also forget all the wonderful theatre staff too, who also helped me with my anxiety about having a general anaesthetic and surgery for the first time. A massive thank you to everyone at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Hopefully the physical side of all this sadness will now finally be at an end…

Right you bastard bugs and Bronchiolitis can do one now leave my babies alone! I’m done .. being a mommy is hard. You carry them do the best you can for 9 months keeping them safe , bring them into the world and then give them your everything always .. watching them being poorly and not being able to magically make them better is like a knife to your heart every cough , every cry . I know I’m lucky there are some extremely poorly children in this world .
