I'm usually hesitant sharing art I make for my own stories. If I'm going to share the story i've written, I want to focus on the actual writing aspects, because art and "doodles" aren't the medium I imagine it in. But hey, sometimes it's fun to see what the characters you've been writing about might actually look like on paper! Plus, I think these doodles take place far enough along in the story of Tameless that I'd be okay with sharing them, as by the time I get to actually writing this
"arc", certain aspects of it may have become "non-canon" anyway. And who knows how long that will take!
I think I've probably gone through and attempted at least 4 different rewrites of Book 1, each time I come to a barrier where I realize I'm just not at the right skill level to convey my ideas yet, so I start over. On the bright side, the majority of the story I want to tell is pretty much plotted out, just gotta keep on working on getting certain details nailed down right.
Anyway, as a summary of pretty much whats going on above here! These are some various interactions of characters from Tameless, my story about predator and prey animals struggling to live side by side together, teaturing:
Ember, a coyote part of the rebel group known as "The Free Predators" who want to fight against the restrictions and security placed on carnivore animals. After getting trapped in a shipment warehouse belonging to a wealthy family, Ember is found by a friendly Wolverine Guard named Vincent. Vincent kinda hates his job and just gets passed around between "Families" every few months because he looks mildly threatening but is horrible at following orders, but he's surprised to see Ember doesn't have a shock collar- as far as he's aware, those collars keep everyone safe, and stop "bad things" from happening to the carnivore animals who wear them, so he becomes very concerned the coyote is going to get hurt SOMEHOW too if she's not careful.
And then we have Amarra, a Striped Hyena and a spy among The Free Predators. She doesn't really care about escaping the collars or "freedom", because everyone is much nicer to her when she complies, anyway! Silly Rebels.
