(adding this as a screenshot because for some reason Tumblr gives me ‘technical difficulties’ when I try to answer the ask the normal way...) Thanks a lot for the ask and for letting me ramble about how my AU characters from Coffee & Cigarettes differ from their canon selves!

1) Ciel

Coffee & Cigarette’s Ciel is quite different from his canon self in a few obvious ways. He’s 18, for one, so he’s obviously more developed physically.

He’s still small, though. His height is about 172 cm -- just under 5′8″. In chapter 2, when Sebastian is fantasizing about poisoning him, he estimates his weight to be about 55 kilograms. He’s wrong. Ciel is slightly heavier than this.

There’s quite a lot of descriptions about him in the story itself from Sebastian’s POV, and they were mostly pretty accurate. Ciel has the distinctly aristocratic features of the upper class. 

I drew inspiration from Grace Kelly’s eyes and nose for his look:

Ciel looks much less feminine, of course and has an undeniably masculine jaw, but I imagine that he has the large, intense eyes, and that obnoxiously aesthetic nose with the little ‘dimples.’ 

Style-wise, he is always well-dressed, but he often looks a little rumpled. This is because he doesn’t have a butler to fuss after him and make sure that there’s no creases in his clothes and that all the colors go perfectly together. 

I imagine the feel he gives off is a bit like this:

All very nice pieces individually, but not perfectly harmonious in combination...

The above photo is also a good reference for his haircut. That’s what it looks like when it’s a little more fluffed up. 

And this is what it looks like in more formal settings:

Since Ciel is a rich boy from the 60′s from a traditional family, his haircut is rather conservative as well.

But the hair at the front still gets loose sometime and gets in his eyes... ^^ 

As Sebastian noticed in chapter 1, he has a lot of premature grey in his brown hair. 

Btw, he also has noticeably large hands compared to the rest of him. And it might be true what they say about men with big hands

2) Sebastian

C&C’s Sebastian has canon Sebastian’s height, but because the man lives off of coffee, regularly forgets to eat, and doesn’t work out much, he is skinnier. He’s human, so his eyes are brown rather than red. 

There will be some description of what he looks like from Ciel’s POV coming up soon, but he has a distinctly French look: the curly dark hair and pale skin combo.

I actually have one very clear visual reference for him: French actor Louis Garrel.

The warm, slightly hodded eyes, the HAIR, the black turtleneck, of course -- this picture captures him really well in my mind.

Yeaaaaah. He is usually clean-shaven these days to look more respectable at work, but he’ll have a 2 day shadow occasionally.

When not at work he’s usually seen in his bohemian uniform: black turtleneck, black trousers, black combat boots, and one intense dash of color with a scarf, usually blood-red.

6. What’s the last thing you read that made you laugh?

Honestly? The one that comes to mind was the preview for ch 2 of @chromehoplite’s “Feast.” The “Sir, this is a McDondald’s” made me literally laugh out loud.

10. Mutual pining or enemies to friends to lovers?

I know both these are really popular, but I’m not really a fan of pining or enemies to lovers as a general rule... I prefer friends to lovers and one-sided pining or strangers who fuck, it gets awkward, and they eventually try to date 😂

14. Post a line of dialogue from a WIP without context.

Ahhh this one was so hard!!! Hope you like this one:

“Do you have a death wish, perhaps?” that demon had asked him, once, just after the first time that Ciel asked for this. 

It had been a ridiculous question, really. Sebastian may fancy himself all-knowing, but this, he didn’t understand. 

Ciel didn’t have a death wish. Not even a little. Not at all.

Warnings: smut, erotic asphyxiation, probably underage (but not made explicit)

Thank you so much 💕! Gosh I hope so too. On top of everything, Things here in Houston are getting so bad with the Coronavirus stuff. They canceled the Rodeo (a major event), and the city has said that no public gatherings of more than 50 people are allowed—that includes stores and restaurants. Oil has crashed and so has the stocks so a lot of people are being laid off. :(

Anyway, enough of that bad stuff and on to something else...

23. Favorite piece of clothing?

I have this gray sweater robe coverup thing that I wear all the time. (I actually have 2.) I bought them on clearance (I love buying stuff at the end of seasons when they’re trying to clear out inventory.) I tend to be hot or cold all the time because of my chronic fever so I like layering, so this sweater has become my absolute favorite accessory. It’s light but warm without being hot, and the fabric is soft. It even has pockets (though you can’t really use them much). I wear it around the house, in bed, or to go out (bc it looks like just a gray cover up and not pajamas). At this point in my life, I am all for clothing that is comfortable that can pass as PJs or going out of the house clothes too. I’m so glad I have more than one so I can wash one and still have one to wear 💕
