URGH!!! I think Ben and Amalia’s relationship is more interesting to me than Ben and Fannie’s right now honestly. Ben and Fannie’s relationship is based on a fascination with someone who’s so different from them, Ben and Amalia’s is based on them looking at each other and being like “oh. you’re literally just me.” And they both kinda hate themselves but since Ben isn’t Amalia and Amalia isn’t Ben they’re able to look at each other and point out the positive qualities and they’re both tough on each other but occasionally surprise each other with gentleness and—ARGH
