#am i procrastinating?

Alright, I came up with something and that something is looking good.

I can nearly smell a huge wave of cute fanart incoming. Let's counterattack it ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

I haven't yapped about my writing in ages. I feel like I have so many wips, that I don't know what to work on... I have my Whumpril ones, maybe I will finish them first. One is mostly a finished draft on ao3, I just need to check that one more time and hit post (in my opinion it's delicious. Also made me remember why I like writing/reading about whump.). I have put Kevin in a situation! It's lovely. And the ending........ Should I tag it as an open ending? I should. I change the tags too much after I've posted, tagging is definitely not my strengths.

The start of one other whumpril fic is done, but the ending is very difficult. I don't really like how I have written Kevin there. I've been thinking of publishing it without an ending, as I still like the start. But then I thought today, that maybe I need to take another approach to Kevin, to change his reactions a little bit. What I have thought feels more natural. The source of inspiration is that one kako video! Where Jakob asks for en kako bita. I swear I can hear Jakob's laugh from there.

A third Whumpril fic is also almost done. It just needs a better ending. If anyone remembers, it's the one where I described Kevin, but... I'm thinking... a certain thought pops up into my mind sometimes... It was about Axel, and he is still the main guy there, but... did it lean in to Kevin too much...? It's not much, but it just feels like he suddenly came and took the spotlight, or took the meaning of the fic away? Okay yes, Axel does admire him there. Yes, Kevin's there to take Axel away. Yes, Kevin is very pretty and soft and gentle and sleepy and loving and– But I'm just a little worried about this. I have a conflict inside of me. Maybe I'm just thinking about this too much (I am).

Me having to actually write my new fic using the correct syntax and formulating coherent sentences:

I know, I know, it's so freaking obvious, but that's to us. but to the general heteronormative audience (I know I'm generalising here) they're both straight. sure hen is gay, but why would eddie be? he was married to a woman with a child. why would buck with his many relationships with women?

so I think first there definitely has to be one of them having some sort of exploration of their sexuality or mention of it into a main storyline. I don't think both of them need to, I think it's highly likely they might have one have a sexuality crisis after the fact so it isn't all at once, but again, highly likely I'm wrong

then, there's needs to be some sort of examination of their current relationship. what makes their dynamic different to that of hen and chims for example. (I think the most obvious route is the whole co-parenting thing) but you need everyone to suddenly see it all at once, all their history all together, because then you understand how much they mean to eachother, they can't just be 'best bros' or whatever.

I do think it's possible for it to happen this season. but things need to be said explicitly pretty soon. we're going to know it'll be canon long before anything happens between them. as much as I love the couch metaphor, not everyone has incredible gifsets to outline the whole thing before your eyes.
