unsent letters from the end of the world
it's secret samol time!!! following up on six years of being a menace about alyosha/arrell in @suedeuxnim 's mentions I have written a little post canon epistolary alyarr. putting my money where my mouth is! I wish I could have written for all of their absolutely wonderful prompts bc they were all a delight.
It feels a bit absurd to close and reopen a letter that I will never send, and could not even if I wanted to. Mail service works rather differently, here at the end of the world. And in truth I am not entirely sure why I continue to write a man who died years ago, in that paroxysm of one world ending and another beginning, and who was an irregular correspondent even in life. I am at the end of my own life now, and there does come with that knowledge a desire to tie up loose ends. We none of us are ever able to end things as neatly as we might like.
Several letters found in Alyosha's desk.
