Flies are a bug that spawns only under certain conditions in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Flies appear all day throughout the entire year, but only during sunny weather. They will only spawn next to garbage you've set down outside, so be sure to save those old tires, empty cans, and boots that you fish up. You can also use spoiled turnips to spawn flies, but you run the risk of ants appearing instead. You can sometimes find garbage in the recycling box inside of Resident Services, and if you keep your turnips for longer than a week they will spoil.

Flies sell for 80 bells at Timmy and Tommy's shop. You can also give Flick 3 of them in exchange for a model.

If you're having trouble making flies spawn, try waiting until the cooler months of the year when there are less bugs available. There are only so many bugs that appear on your island at any one time, so it may take you a tad longer to find one during the summer months.

The fall update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is finally here! 🎃

You're now able to buy pieces of candy as well as pumpkin starts from Timmy and Tommy's shop. You can buy one piece of candy per day per character on your island as well as one piece of candy from your friend's store if you visit their island during October. Each piece of candy costs 120 bells.

You'll be needing those pieces of candy for the Halloween event later this month, so be sure to hold onto them! Leif will also be selling pumpkin starts for 140 bells each in your town starting in October.

If you plant a pumpkin start and water it, a few days later you'll have a fully grown pumpkin that you can use as a crafting material. You'll be getting special DIY recipes all throughout the month that require pumpkins. If Leif isn't in town, you can buy pumpkin starts at Timmy and Tommy's shop for 280 bells a piece.

Pumpkins come in four different colors: orange, green, yellow, and white. You won't know which color pumpkin you've planted until it's fully grown.

New body paint and eye colors are also now available! Stop by the Nook Stop terminal to trade in your Nook Miles in order to unlock them. You'll need to trade in 4,800 Nook Miles to gain access to all of the new goodies added to the game!

I finally hit 50 million bells in the bank! To celebrate I wanted to gift each and every one of my villagers a crown. Join me along in this adventure as I spend my assets for the sake of making my villagers happy.

Access to Luna's Dream Suite was recently added as a feature in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The Dream Suite is a way to visit other people's towns that you may not be friends with. All you need is their Dream Address, an internet connection, and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership.

You can talk to Luna by sleeping in a bed in your house. She will give you the option of either updating your own Dream Address or visiting someone else's town by inputting theirs. You are able to update your own town once per day and will receive a Dream Bell Exchange Ticket in the mail the day after you update your dream. The Dream Bell Exchange Tickets can be traded in for 5,000 bells a piece at Timmy and Tommy's shop.

You can visit other people's towns multiple times per day, but you will not be able to bring any items back from your visit. However, you will be able to download any custom designs that you'd like from their town. If there is anything inappropriate in the town you're visiting, you can report it by talking to Luna.

By scanning your Amiibo cards you can get villagers to visit your campsite in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

If you invite them over three times and do a favor for them each time, they will ask to move into your village. If you have 10 villagers you will be able to replace one of your current animals for them. When using Amiibo cards, you can pick and choose which animal you'd like to replace.
