Stan's just got. SO MUCH! Untaped dad energy. Like sure he's got Soos and sorts Wendy, and it spills over to his nibblings, but he's just radiating it. It's why kids come to bully him so much, they know he needs kids to he mean to him in endearing ways. Stan just has a gaggle of kids. I was a huge believer in the theory that Stan was actually their grandpa before Sherime popped into existence, it spills over that much.
So Stan and his bug son in any iteration is just so good. I love aus where Stan finds and raises Shifty, because as much as Ford is sorta Shiftys dad he's a scientist first, whereas to Stan Shiftys a kid first, freaky bug second.
