AlterQuantum Researching (AQR) is a private research company founded by Overseers Wyatt Nightingale and Robert Castillo and their respective children, Dr. Rose Nightingale and Dr. Michael Pipe. The company has an unknown source of funding, and their work is entirely private save for the small amount of information they've made available to the public. Their study has a focus on anomalous phenomena, and they employ many researchers and interns with a variety of specialties, including but not limited to; botany, virology, biology, herpetology, and computer sciences.
They conduct their research out of an underwater laboratory built to very specific standards, per Overseer Nightingale's request. The entrance to this laboratory is unknown, and some feel that there is no surface entrance, being led to believe that after witnessing multiple researchers using a boat stocked with oxygen tanks and wetsuits when coming to and from the lab.
However, there is a PR building located on dry land, just a quarter mile down the road from the Willow Banks docking port. The PR building is quaint, but it is the location you should seek out, should you want to make contact with the researchers, make a donation, or seek out an internship.

Apologies for the late response. Our company has a focus on research into anomalous phenomena, though our particular focus as of late has been "The Fog" (Forgive me for using the common name, lol).
