ALTERNATIVE ESCAPE SHOWCASE Bloody Awful Poetry is shifting it's musical juggernaut to the seaside for an afternoon of ice cream (weather permitting), sunshine (weather permitting), beach partying (weather permitting), and GREAT MUSIC (GUARANTEED!) to showcase some of the finest bands Britain has to offer at this happy alternative or sumptuos warm up to the industry-laden Great Escape Festival 2012.

They met at the church where their fathers were elders. Their mothers describe their sound as ‘invasive’, though they themselves describe it as ‘Swim-Rock’, not only because the term sounds attractively idiosyncratic but also because a couple of the songs sound like they could be played at a public swimming pool.

Recently formed as 'I Saw Esau' they have previously released material on Ear Candy Records and Deep Life Records.

As a solo artist Jared has also been signed to Sam Bush Management.

Eagerly awaited debut EP slated for release in Summer 2012.

Sold out shows at Ronnie Scotts, Proud Camden and The Barfly and hugely supported performances at The Camden Crawl and The Secret Garden Party.

 Debut EP, 'Well Hanged', was released to huge critical acclaim in 2011. This is soon to be followed with the release of their already recorded debut album.

Debut video was shot by BAFTA Nominated director Frazer Churchill and has won awards at both The California Burkbank and The Mississippi Film Festivals.

The follow up video, released on Hallowe'en 2011, garnered 1000 views on Youtube in 2 days and has now climbed to a staggering 20,000 views and counting.

Averaging over 100 shows a year they have had a succession of breakthroughs including BBC Radio 2 airplay by Steve Lamacq.

Combining the lyrical poignancy of Bright Eyes and the musical intensity of Woody Guthrie through to Emmy the Great, Lazy Heart Parade perfectly encapsulate the finest qualities of English alt.folk - but with an added bitter twist.

Having played extensively in London at such prestigious venues as Ronnie Scotts and Proud Galleries they are soon to be embarking upon a nationwide full UK tour.

Edinburgh five-piece Molly Wagger is made up of brothers James and Charlie, along with friends, Dave Ayre, Edward Hulme and Charlie Johnson. Inspired by the likes of the Beta Band and Sparklehorse they have forged a unique sound comprising of elements from folk, electronic, post-rock and non-existent cats.

The Scottish five-piece released their debut EP 'Weekend' in 2010 on Tirk Records and have since followed that with a full length album 'Flambeaux' in 2011.

The album has been widely received with glowing praise from radio DJ's, critics and other musicians, with Tom Findlay from Groove Armada hailing the single 'Weekend' as 'one of the best tunes I've heard this year'.

(15:45pm) STOKES, WILLIAM www.stokeswilliam.co.uk Stokes, William began as a solo folk project, making its debut at the Communion night in West London, however the project quickly expanded as a collective of musicians acquiring numerous gigs around London and the South. Their exciting, lyrically driven songs are coupled with beautiful instrumentation.

After recording a session with producer Ian Grimble and members of Mt. Desolation, Mumford & Sons and Cherbourg, the song Zion was later featured on the Communion label’s first release: a double gatefold vinyl compilation which also included Johnny Flynn, Alessi’s Ark, Mumford & Sons and others.

Stokes, William have since appeared live alongside such artists as Matthew and the Atlas, Marcus Foster, Boy & Bear and Alessi.

Peddling outrageous tooth-gnashing popsongs, i said yes are five persons wide and fourteen instruments deep. Their noisy, soaring folk is openly loved by XFM and the BBC and vocally hated by Noel Gallagher.
