Gif original: @alternate-title. Jogo dos 7 erros: Tente identificar o Peter escondido no meio dos filhotinhos. De preferĂȘncia, sem desmaiar com a overdose de fofura. Find the 7 differences: try to find Peter hiding in the middle of his fellow puppies. Without passing out from the cuteness overdose, please.
(Caso a limitação de marcadores me impeça de citar os ålbuns, são quase todos os que tem a banda com a formação original completa: The Monkees; More of The Monkees; Headquarters; Peixes, Aquårio, Capricórnio & Jones Ltda.; e The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees.)
Thank you, @alternate-title, for the original gif.
Like if all the lovely cuteness and relaxing surf music feeling werenât enough to make You Bring The Summer a lovely song, they made a music video full of funny, nostalgic references! âĄâĄ
(If this limitation of tags thingy keep me from tagging all the albums on the animation, here comes the reference: The Monkees; More Of The Monkees; Headquarters; Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.; and The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees.)

alternate-title replied to your post: Rubber Soul :)
Itâs quite interesting, really, how the same person could write such a beautiful, introspective song as In My Life and such a misogynistic song as Run for Your Life on the same albumâŠ
I totally agree. I think itâs probably one of the best ways to sum up how complex an individual John could be. On one hand an artist and an open minded person. On the other, probably a product of the culture he grew up in who also struggled with his own personal demons.
A few years later, he did express a lot of regret over writing it, so I I think thatâs also a good reminder that peopleâs personalities can evolve over time and can shift away from problematic viewpoints.
Favorite Song: In My Life. Such a poignant, timeless song.
Least Favorite Song: Run For Your Life: By a gigantic margin. I canât see how anyone can like a song about a guy threatening to murder his girlfriend.Â
I see you posted a new fic prompt thing, so... Mike, Peter and 1. :)
Thank you. :) Sorry I took so long to respond to this. I hope to have your other request up soon.

âOk Peter, why is there a purple elephant sitting next toMr. Schneider?â
Peter blinked and looked up from his bass guitar. He hadmeant to take his new find to his room before now, but he had gotten distractedby an idea for a new bass line. Thus, he had just spent the last thirty minutestweaking it with Mike having come back from the grocery store in the mean time.
âHis name is Aloysius and why do you ask?â he replied.âDonât you like him?â
âItâs not a matter of liking him or not,â Mike said, leaningagainst a wall. âIâm just wonderinâ where it came from. I thought you were justgoinâ to the library today.â
âWell, I was,â Peter said. âI mean, I did. I took my bookback. Couldnât find the one on mushrooms I was looking for. And then I left. Itwas when I passed by the hot dog stand that I ran into the nice man who said hecould do me a favor.â
âA favor?â Mike echoed. âWhat did he mean by âa favorâ?â
âHe said that he needed to find a home for Aloysius and thatheâd sell him to me for only two dollars,â Peter answered.
âTwo dollaâhow is him selling you that stuffed animalhelping you out?â Mike said.
âBecause heâs not just a stuffed animal,â Peter said. âHe agood luck charm. Heâll bring us luck for ten years.â
âUh-huh,â Mike said, crossing his arms over his chest. âAnduh, what about the guy you bought him from? Why was he selling him?â
âWell, he said he needed to raise money for bus fare so hecan go back to his hometown after the fire burned his home down and so he canget a job to replace the one he lost two weeks ago.â
Peter watched the Texan briefly close his eyes and pinch thebridge of his nose. He knew Mike well enough to know that this meant that alecture was soon to follow.
âGood luck charm, man, Pete, thatâs justâŠdidnât you learnanything from the last time? That guy who tried to get you to help him breakinto that store late at night?â
âWell he said that he had forgotten to pay for something andwanted to make sure the owner wasnât shorted,â Peter said. âHow was I to knowthat he planned on stealing the cash register?â
âOr the time that guy offered to sell you a dance club?â
âThat wasnât a bad idea,â Peter insisted. âWe could have hada place to play all the time and make money with the drinks and stuff too.â
âYeah, sure,â Mike scoffed. âIf it werenât for the fact thatthe place had more rats than existed during the Black PlagueâŠ.â
Mike let out a sigh. Peter though that he was about tomention something else, but instead the Texan walked over and patted hisshoulder.
âLook, Pete, I ainât sayinâ that your heart isnât in theright place,â he said. âIâm just sayinâ you need to be more careful is all. Donâlet people sucker you in. Like this whole business with this elephant.â
âOh, I know itâs not a real good luck charm,â Peter said. âNotthe kind thatâll make us rich or anything like that.â
âYou do?!â Mike said, flabbergasted. âThen whyâŠwhy did youâŠ?â
âWellâŠI thought he was cute,â Peter shrugged. âAnd he neededa home. That guy said he couldnât keep him anymore, and it seemed mean to justhave him thrown out. AndâŠ.â
âAnd?â
âAndâŠI think heâs still like a good luck charm,â the bassistadded âSort of. I mean, he makes me think of the good luck weâve had before.Times when we got money when we really needed it or got a really cool gig. Somaybe he doesnât bring good luckâŠbut he reminds me of it.â
Mike stared at him quietly in response. Peter wasnât sure ifany of that made sense. Or more precisely, if it made sense to Mike. It hadmade perfect sense to him, but Peter had also noticed that others didnât seemto share his version of perfect sense.
Suddenly, Mike smiled slightly and shook his head.
âOk Shotgun, I get it,â he said. âBut I donâ know abouthaving him out here next to Mr. Schneider.â
âOh thatâs just temporary,â Peter replied. âI plan on movinghim to the bedroom later. I think heâd enjoy looking out the window from upthere.â
âWhatever you say, Pete,â Mike said with a chuckle. âIâll gomake us some sandwiches.â
Peter smiled, pleased to be getting food and that he managedto get Mike to understand how he felt. In that sense, he was pretty sure thatthe elephant was starting to bring him luck after all.
