Hiiii alteritymonster my sweet friend 💞 So, I did some googling and it turns out that ideally one would have the time to watch seasons 1 & 2 before jumping into the queer love story in season 3, because those seasons are also really good and provide some backstory for all the characters as well. But with that said, yes each season focuses on a different character so it’s possible to jump in and watch season 3 stand-alone. My brain was like “I would like to hyperfixate on a new queer-awakening/first-queer-love-story now please and thank you” and I was like “alrighty brain, seasons 1 & 2 later?” so that’s what I did. Jumped right in to season 3. Turns out this couple I’ve been projecting myself onto continues to have a storyline into season 4, so my plan is to go like this: season 3, season 3 rewatch (nearly complete), season 4, season 1, 2, 3, 4. Basically I plan to go back & watch seasons 1 and 2 as kind of like a “prologue” / backstory that adds more depth. Plus I’m invested in the universe of the show and all its characters now.

nancy is tom and robin is greg from my understanding. the reason why i like it is bc nancy hasn't had a plain old friend since season 1 (when barb died and jonathan like. immediately had romantic tension with her.) SO she's both going to be threatened that robin is a smart, funny girl hanging out with her ex and also incredibly lonely now that her boyfriend is gone.
the result is nancy not knowing how to act like a real person, making unhinged comments that deeply, deeply confound robin and everyone else around them. magnifique.

I think of all the amazing meta/analyses the fandom creates and participates in looking for clues!! (As far as from the show though, I instantly think of two lost boys sitting in a basement together surrounded by Halloween candy and the feeling of not being alone, as they look at each other and.. 'crazy together'...
9. what is your favorite fanfic for the fandom?
I remember really loving YesterFriday by futureboy! I haven't reread it, but I loved it the first go around!
12. favorite hc for a ship, character, etc.
I love the HC that El really looks up to (and tries to emulate) Nancy, until she learns to develop her own personality and opinions more. Maybe she had/has a crush on her?? The way she first saw Nancy and just went 'pretty' in the softest voice ever.. I- I have a lot of thoughts about this..
13. if you could be in the universe of the characters what would you do first?
First of all, oh God, no!! I definitely wouldn't be surviving that, lbr.. I'd probably just find excuses to follow Joyce around or something though, because I love her very much 🥰🥰

Oh! That's funny, I never thought about my url being interpreted that way lol but noooo not silly at all, fair fair question. I used to be a maaaaassive doctor who fan from like 2011-2014, but not really anymore. I watched up until Clara's last season and then lost interest.
My url is a klaine url actually. My blog used to be like 80% glee for several sad years before I left tumblr. Bowties for Blaine and scarves for Kurt. I don't think I'm ever gonna change it bc it's like. My brand now. Idk.
So, some of the few things I know about you are that: you are a history student; you write fan fiction that you (awesomely) care enough to invest with historical accuracy; and (not unrelatedly) you (probably) are a Beatles fan? Those together have me wondering: 1) super-randomly, if you've read a book called Once There Was a Way, by Bryce Zabel; and 2) more generally, how you feel about alternate history speculation? Is it perspectivally valuable? A waste of time? An enjoyable waste of time? ^_^
