you know i have this headcanon that home is where my horse is isnt about an actual horse its an analogy. like horses are very comforting animals. they're loyal, and have this really nice energy.
i kind of think that the song is more about him wanting a home with people who have those qualities. people who wont fight or yell at him like his parents always did. people who are reliable, and will always be there for him when he wants to just... exist.
