Okay, I was taking reference pictures of the Dalish scout armor.
I thought that the leather on the upper thigh was like, garter straps for the shin guards, but now I think it's a front closure, because there's that same leather with that clip situation on the arms, and it only makes sense if its a closure. Which mildly annoys me, because if that's true, I gotta get out the snips, because right now the legs spiral lace at the ankle, which is a traditional chainmail closure method, but fabricating some clips to get the armor on and off seems like a way faster method than spiral lacing.
Also I totally stole the foot shape for my feet from the Dalish scout armor because that point is so pretty.
