“Good,” Norm gasps, stretching his back and shaking out his hands, “no one’s dead yet. We thought you would have tried to mend the kid without us and maybe make it worse.”
“Don’t jinx it,” Max says with a glint in his eye that gives away that he’s joking. “We’ve still got a little bit of time before we’re set up for everything to go to shit.”
“Ye of little faith,” Jake grumbles goodnaturedly, stepping away from Neytiri to help Norm take the boxes and supplies inside. The seashells clack against each other as they step inside, and Spider snorts quietly when Norm startles at the brush of seaweed against his shoulder as he goes in.
