#alpine dragon

So I’ve been waiting to fight the Alpine Dragon. Because the first time I royally messed up and got my party not just wiped... but also mopped all over his cave floor. Anyway, I’m like level 15 now. Pretty much cruising through most of the minor fights. I get my “hard fight” crew (Eder, Durance, Aloth, Kana, and Pallegina). I go back to the Alpine and it’s been a hot minute since I last spoke with him so I listen to his dialogue again. Then I realized with a higher Resolve (I have eggs for that because my Resolve is lime 16) I can sever his ties.

I pull my screen ready to reload but I start thinking about it.

Fuck this guy. He’s the biggest ass hat in the whole game.

I did die, yes. It would have been better if I could have gotten her a bit more to the side but she got one shot. So... yeah. It was a fairly close call. At one point it was just Aloth, Eder, and Pall. But I revived Durance. And then Durance revived Kana. And I just left Gavina down because, well, she would have just gotten one shot again anyway.
