so we know that vriska based so much of her persona and actions on mindfang, and for Act 5 and most of 6 she was ms pirate spider mcselfishpants
but even in her early convos in Act 5 we see she clearly cares about At Least One Person, and then after aranea went all psycho and (vriska) spent a few millenia in the dreambubbles, she drops the act and we see closer to the real vriska - more empathetic and caring of others
aranea - mindfang’s pre-scratch version - put on a facade of being a kind, non-threatening exposition fairy; but she even admitted she always brought discussions back around to herself, and in the GO Timeline proved she was every bit as selfish and dangerous as mindfang
i think Vriska’s pre-scratch self - the version of her that didn’t have alternian murder culture and mindfang’s legacy to turn her into a killer - would have been more like the person Aranea modelled herself after.
