Gotta word vomit about Inside Job for a sec because I was just putting together a simple AMV and realized something about the holodeck timelines in that last episode: they're probably not real.
Either someone fabricated them on purpose to push Reagan away from the Appleton plan (how involved is Alpha-Beta in this?)
Or the program can't actually see into the future and like today's LLMs can only extrapolate from the parameters it's given, meaning Reagan's current mental state and what is known about Ron, unable to predict future growth and development from either.
I have so many Thoughts about how Reagan wants to be the one in control, especially after learning that external forces have been controlling her for so long. She literally wants to be in "the room where it happens." But getting to that point has such a heavy cost that she's only just now becoming aware of. The question of whether she can ever truly be in control and whether it's better to be on the inside of this web of conspiracy or to just try to live, or if there's any in between at all… Inside Job was gone too soon.
This is probably nothing or an incredibly basic opinion but eh, I'm posting anyway.
I started watching inside job again, it's so over for you all. A certain robot still has my fancy.
