Thirty years later with a wedding ring around our fingers, I know that we will still walk down the street without a care in this world. We will hold hands and kiss in public. We will be clingy and inseparable. We will still act like newly weds and crave for each other’s skin like it was the first time. Hell, we will still be crazy for each other and we will never ever seem to get enough.

Think many times before dreaming of settling down. Marriage is not all about rainbows and butterflies.

I used to talk a lot about you. You know, the little things that marked its footprints on my heart; the flaws which made you stand out and be like no other; how your shoulder was carved for my head to fit in perfectly; your sense of humor which got me since the first day; the way you say my name which always leave me breathless up to this day; how your hand was made big enough for mine to settle in it as its home; the way you express your love without the need to speak; how you held me tightly in the midst of thunderstorms and heavy rain; how you always try to win me back when things get rough. Now, when people would ask about us, I just hold my tongue and pretend that I did not hear it.

You are now just a stranger who I happen to know too well.

It happens. You let each other go, yet you stay in love. It sounds complicated but sometimes, having a break is all you need to fix yourselves.

Chances never end at two. It is unlimited for the people we love. We get tired, but not that much to say goodbye.
