I am fatigued but I am okay. Because I am privileged and have my kids. I have not worried about how I will feed them. I have not worried about their safety outside of my home. My youth have so many challenges during these times.
We’ve really worked at stopping, thinking, asking, stopping again, thinking again, and then responding. We’ve talked a lot about how well do you know your youth and what do they need right now? And can we make that happen? Formal supports shouldn’t be necessary. All of our youth should have all of the informal supports possible. But, the reality, is that some of them do not have a deep well of informal supports or even one informal support. So, we step up.
