Long Drives II Jenna and KC
"Sophie, you better be good while I'm gone," she said, looking down at her dog. "Don't go in Luke's room, got it?" She knew that the dog couldn't understand her, but she liked to think that she could. She walked out of her bedroom and made sure she had everything she could possibly need. She was feeling a little nervous, like she always did before going out with KC. He told her that he liked her, and she believed him, but a part of her was still waiting for this to all be a joke. She didn't like thinking that way, but never in a million years would she think that someone like KC would like someone like her. But maybe he could.
She felt her phone vibrate and saw that it was KC, telling her that he was there. She took a deep breath and pulled on her coat, looking at her dog. "Luke will probably be home later..." she sighed, shaking her head and grabbing her bag. Things were weird lately, but she wasn't saying anything, not yet. She opened the door and shut it and felt the cold air hit her as she walked down the steps. Someone had left the door to the stairwell open again and she just rolled her eyes, shutting it behind her and walking out to KC's car, sliding in when he unlocked it. "Hey," she greeted, smiling at him. "How are you??"
