Audience Participation: Baseball's In Your Blood series. Whatever you'd like to tell about it: ideas, headcanons, do you like this AU (I would presume since there's a TON in it lol). I just finished it and I'm sad cause I'm caught up XD
Headcanons [and some way back backstory]:
1. Buster's nervous when Tim takes him up into the mountains to meet The German* and when he comes face to face with William he's momentarily terrified (and not in a hot way). Then William starts asking him informed questions about baseball and suddenly they're chatting away like old friends. Tim and the rest of the vampires present are pretty surprised because it usually takes humans a long time before they're even able to carry on a basic conversation with William and here's Buster exchanging opinions on the DH.
2. It takes Buster's family a long time to accept Buster's relationship with Tim. They first find out right after Buster's injury in 2011 and it's not the way Buster intended to tell them. To be honest, he hadn't really figured out a strategy that didn't involve lots of procrastination. Buster's mom manages to be polite to Tim, but his dad won't visit Buster in the hospital when Tim's there. It doesn't help that their attitude pisses Tim off and he gets even more annoyed when Buster says he's going to go back to his own apartment to start his recovery. Buster end up fighting with both Tim and his parents and he finally tells everyone that he's really not up for this and that he really doesn't care if everyone gets along or not. In the end, he spends a lot of his early recovery time at his apartment with  his mom, and his dad and Tim are careful not to visit at the same time.
3. Every once in a while, Buster gets a little aggressive when it comes to sex. At first Tim's really taken aback, but since it usually involves enthusiastic blow jobs from Buster, Tim's okay with it. He usually has to reestablish his dominance, but he eventually realizes Buster's kind of counting on that. It becomes a little bit of a game they play and that's a little new for Tim...the idea that sex can be playful.
*Who, for the record, isn't German. He got that name from a Roman vampire back when the Romans called a huge chunk of Europe "Germania." The German--who goes by William these days--was a member of one of the proto Celtic tribes known as the Urnfield people because they burned their dead instead of burying them. We've speculated that they started doing this because burning is one way to make sure you've totally killed a vampire. Â [And yes, this is just the tip of the "ridiculous level of research we've done for this AU" iceberg.] Â
