“I agree! Layers and accessories are the best.” He nodded vigorously. The winter season was truly a wintery season in Henri’s country, snow and wind, the whole shebang. “And, once it gets cold, I won’t get anywhere near as many strange looks for strange looks for wearing a three piece suit in the middle of the day. Heh.”

His eyebrows went up a bit at Hong Kong’s ‘dog mascot’ comment, a sideways smile sliding onto his face quickly followed by a stuttery laughthat seemed odd coming out of Henri’s fancy self. “A dog costume? No, of course not. Haha. Ha. I honestly hadn’t given it much thought yet.” He smoothed down his fringe self-consciously. Technically, the one instance he had time for the Nation’s Halloween party, he had gone as a werewolf, not a dog, so. Completely different.  “But uh, I’m sure we can find something to suit what you’re looking for. Were you thinking like, scary… or a character that’s badass?”

Siu-chun snorted at the other’s odd laugh; he figured someone who always looked so neat and pulled together would sound a little more dignified than...that. Ah well, books and covers and whatnot. He could at least sympathise with getting stared at for being ‘overdressed’ in certain situations, but that was before he’d realised that comfort and style weren’t mutually exclusive. Then again, he couldn’t really imagine Luxembourg in anything other than his usual formal getup...which only made him more curious. Did he even own a pair of jeans?

Ludwig watched as Henri worked on cutting up the apples for their apple pie. He’d been meaning to bake more, and this was a good excuse to get Baking Season rolling - plans had been made, and plans would be followed through. Prepare yourselves, everyone, for delicious german baked goods will soon be coming your way. 

A thought crossed his mind as Henri’s knife made contact the wooden cutting board, and Ludwig started across his kitchen, digging through one of the bags of groceries he had brought home earlier that afternoon. The bag was completely full of ingredients needed to bake this pie, so he hadn’t bothered to put anything away yet as they would soon likely be used, and held such treats as fresh nutmeg, granny smith apples, and Turbinado sugar.
