Swollen Series

Tegan, you may ask, why are you taking pictures of yourself when you are swollen. Don't you want to keep that "unbeautiful" effect hidden from the eyes of the internet?

Answer: No.

I have food allergies. Soy, wheat, egg whites. Most companies label whether or not these ingredients have been used in their products. The hard part is knowing if they are lying. For the past month now I have been learning this. All three of these foods have several different names and are in almost every product I used to consume or use. Not always expressed on the packaging as their basic name form.

Swollen Series is my way of accepting my new Adventure and spreading what I learn with others. It's also a selfish/genius way of keeping track of when I have a hive or swelling outbreak.

Little Known and Obvious Facts About Yours Truly....

1. I don’t wear white. I find it too distracting to food. Think about it, the food is headed towards your mouth and then BAM! it’s like a teenage girl in heat and is super attracted to the vast whiteness you happen to be wearing on your body. 2. I don’t use white sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. For explanation see above description but replace food with dirt. 3. I don’t cry. Unless I hear or see animal cruelty/death. That is my Achilles Heel. 4. Cat Lady for Life. 5. Never made it to my audition to a prestigious dance school due to my body shutting down. And that is when I started my downward spiral of health. 4.5 years ago. Still don’t know what is going on. 6. Only child. 7. 5’10" and size 12. Love it. 8. Recently diagnosed wheat, soy, and egg allergic. 9. I call my best friend Twin or Twinsie Twin. She calls me Twinnie. She is a good 6 inches shorter than me. 10. I have a daughter. She is a cat. She is my flesh and blood. She saved me.
