It’s been over a year since my last post. A lot of things have happened since then.

The biggest change is my job. I was let go from my web dev job. I didn’t realize how toxic that place was until I had left. I’m working as a fursuit maker now and am pretty happy with it. It’s nice being able to have flexible hours should they need to be. And there’s a lot more opportunity to be creative. Working along side me is my partner Aerak.

The past year has been quite a struggle...mostly with how to create a good, stable business model. It’s caused issues for me trying to find time to do art on a regular basis and hasn’t left me time to chat online with people too much.

I think I’ve also become more of an introvert as time has gone on. I’m realizing a few things about myself that I know I need to address - mostly realizations about my health and changes that have happened to me over the years. My partner and I have been looking at some of the symptoms I’ve been showing and we think it’s possible I may have had a stroke several years back. Part of my mouth doesn’t move right - like it has a muscle that just doesn’t work. Words don’t come out right often. It sounds right in my head, so I get confused when people hear what I say. For example, if I mix up stop with go, it can change the whole context of what I am saying: Don’t Stop vs. Don’t Go. Or...there will be times where I say something totally backwards. The other day I meant to say “a loaf of bread” and ended up saying “a bread of loaf”. Typing things out is a lot easier because I can revise what I am saying...but for people talking to me in person, it’s confusing. The other issue is memory... Ever since my severe vertigo of 5 years straight, my memory hasn’t been quite right. Those 5 years are like...a strange blob of events. I often remember them mixed up and not quite right. And I think I am still having that issue but only to a slight extent. I’m not as fast as I used to be with math either. I’d like to go in and get looked at soon...maybe just to at least see if that happened and how my brain re-wired itself. It’s kind of scary to think about.

I know I’ve said it before, but I think it would be healthy for me to try and post more regularly. I often have thoughts pass through my head on topics I see in life, but don’t talk about them too much with others. I suppose we’ll see how things go.
