This is an attempt at writing the third fic in the series Best Day For A Threesome? which is 11K of platonic BDSM winterwidowhawk and there hasn't actually been a threesome yet.

The original starting point was this text-from-last-night: My night can be summed up in 3 words: Vodka. Threesomes. Hospital.

But there are currently multiple plot ideas and my brain hasn't commited to any of them. This is one of the least likely to be finished I think, but here, have the follow up text conversation between Kate and Clint:

I’ll have you know that most of those ‘same ones’ haven’t been touched in over two years I swear to god. But yeah, in terms of ones on the last list that have actually been finished and posted, rather than just deleted/resigned to never being finished, there’s, like, three: Unburdened and Becoming, handcuffs (posted as Better Than a Pillow Mint) and The Best of RedStar (posted as Five Stars: The Best of RedStar)

But yes. soulbond 2.

soulbond 2 is the followup to the falling and the faded luck, which was written for the PolyA tropes+AUs writing challenge, where I got ‘soul mates AU’ and ‘sharing a bed’. To be honest, I think the vibe in it is all wrong? There’s little bits of it that I love, but all together it’s not quite... right and I’m not too sure how to fix it yet. I like all the ideas I have for this - I don’t want to say verse because I’m not sure it’ll ever get that far - thing but I think it’s more an exploration of an idea than an actual story? I’m not sure. It’s grabbing me less now than it was.

Anyway, have a snippet:

Clint breathes in, thinks about the best way to say this, then blurts out, “I soulbonded with Barnes,” before immediately wincing.

“What?”

“I soulbonded – ”

“No, I heard you,” Natasha cuts him off. “I just… what?”

Clint rubs his hand over his face. “I know.”

“But we – ”

“I know.”

Okay so Foxtrot is a silly name for an idea based on Lauren Beukes book Zoo City where people who “sin” get “animalled” - basically, if you do something bad enough, you get landed with something a little like a HDM Daemon apart from they’re... just an animal you have to look after and you can’t be parted from. You also get a small “girt” type thing. In Zoo City, the main character can find things. I wanted to see how I could make the Red Room and SHIELD work under those constraints: a visual marker to show that you’re a bad person. Nothing has really come of it.

World in Union is a Rugby Union AU based off this drabble I wrote where Clint is a flyhalf for England and Natasha is the team doctor. It follows very closely to the English rugby union goings on of about 2012-2016, and because of that has a lot of actual, real people in it, which I feel kinda weird about because Manu Tuilagi shouldn’t really be turning up in my MCU fics, thank you very much. It’s also Very Niche(TM). I have about 6k of it and it’s mostly pining and currently Clint and Nat aren’t even together. And then I sort of... lost interest.
