One would expect that heโd be exuberant about this sort of thing, in all honesty, not shy to display his affection. But for Luffy, moments of quiet, face to face intimacy like this (quite literally) are hard to come by. He never sits still, heโs alwaysย a group person, so it only goes to show how special it was that he handle this situation correctly, for Usopp to be able to wrangle him down like this. Surely this was about the difficulties theyโd had over the past stretch of their journey, the one that threatened to tear not one, but twoย of them from their newly burned ship. It was lucky, then, that Franky had accounted for so much in his plans for the Sunny, it gave them plenty of space to hide away like this.
Presently, entering upon this conversation wouldnโt elucidate much about what theyโd discussed. One could probably only hear that muttering Luffy was doing, so close to the sharpshooterโs face as he did so.

Thereโs a lull there, the kind that implies directionย or hesitation. Some kind of follow-upย inevitably to follow. At least, it would, if it werenโt for Chopper suddenly entering, wondering where the bathroom is.
