Parasites on deep-sea fish
So I was right on some things and wrong on others:
- The Fish Alien, dubbed “The Eel,” was made from human flesh (mutated from the blood or whatever happened to make the Blood Ocean)
- It might have the hive-mind but it still refers to itself in the singular for some reason
- This supports that The Eel was directly talking to Simon via some sort of EM because Eldrich Powers
- It thinks like a sapient creature and not just a sentient one, meaning it did actually decide not to kill Simon after his talk about wanting to live so desperately bad, but then decided to kill him after he broke their deal
- This also can still support my theory on it being the warden of The Light still

You know... sometimes, I wish I could have the fun delusions again, the ones explaining my disconnect with humanity without trauma...
I miss being an alien fish person instead of aspecies, only sometimes tho...
Yeah, I don't feel like I can explain romantic love to anyone without bringing up my delusional past. Because the only time I've experienced it is in a delusion. But I'm okay with that. I'm okay with all of that being delusions, what I'm not okay with is the stigma around the fact that it was.
I would have never had my delusions treated if it didn't go so far as I was afraid of the Moon, that it would take my life! (I wrote a whole short story about that)
You don't need your delusions treated as long as it's not harming you or others! I didn't believe I actively had gills, I believed I used to in a past life...
My best sci-fi writing was back when I was delusional because I believed that in one of my past lives as this species, I was a doctor.
Now that I'm back to working on this story, that I put these aliens fishfolk in, I'm missing those delusions not enough to risk bad ones coming back, but I miss them.
I miss those dreams, I miss looking up at the stars wondering which one my home was...
There's a beauty in having a species different than your biology, but not having a species can be just as beautiful.
I'm me. I'm not human. I'm not anything. I'm just me. To me, that's beautiful too💖🌌

Gros poisson alien
You guys wanted em so here
If we’re gonna start anywhere let’s start basal, with non placossid placossoids (left) and early tetradecapods (right).
Then we have classes of uncertain placement, the Reptiliomimids (down) and the corythoceratids (up)
And to finish off we have one of the most derived clades in general, the pseudaves. Here we have a general “eopteran” (non archeopteran pseudavians) skull morphology. Of course skull morphology varies from clade to clade and minute changes in species [this applies to all of these] but there, the skulls are here
