Alicloud un datacenter en novembre en Europe
« Alicloud est le moteur sous le capot dâAlibaba et il permet de garantir une expĂ©rience fluide » assure Qunkai Liu, Business Development Director chez Alibaba Cloud Europe. La branche cloud computing dâAlibaba emploie Ă ce jour 3.000 personnes, « 80 % de dĂ©veloppeurs », et assure ĂȘtre le premier vendeur de cloud public en Chine, et « le troisiĂšme vendeur dans le monde au premier trimestre 2016 ». Avec 500.000 consommateurs payants dans le monde, la filiale revendique une croissance de son chiffre dâaffaires de 175 % au premier trimestre 2016.
 Si bien sĂ»r le coeur de son business reste en Chine, le dĂ©ploiement progressif de lâinfrastructure de ce gĂ©ant chinois passe dĂ©sormais par lâEurope aprĂšs avoir visitĂ© les cĂŽtes est et ouest des Etats-Unis. Le datacenter europĂ©en doit ĂȘtre opĂ©rationnel en novembre prochain. Pour la France, oĂč Alicloud est installĂ© depuis tout juste 6 mois, lâentreprise tisse des partenariats avec les acteurs locaux comme Linkbynet ou Ecritel. « Nous avons comme stratĂ©gie de continuer Ă enrichir lâĂ©cosystĂšme de partenaires, avec des MSP et des agrĂ©gateurs locaux » explique Qunkai Liu.
Aider Ă aller en Chine
« Alicloud peut aider les acteurs français Ă dĂ©ployer un site web ou une boutique en ligne sur une plate-forme chinoise. Nous avons un vĂ©ritable savoir faire pour gĂ©rer les temps de latence de lâInternet chinois, ou encore le Grande Muraille (ndlr. le pare-feu gouvernemental qui censure une grande partie de lâinternet mondial) » mentionne Qunkai Liu.
Le cloud dâAlibaba, sâil nâa pour lâheure que peu de rĂ©fĂ©rences hors de Chine, tire sa force de sa capacitĂ© Ă supporter la croissance du trĂšs dynamique commerce Ă©lectronique chinois. CĂŽtĂ© chiffres, le cabinet de recherche Equancy affirme que lâon trouve dans ce pays 563 millions de mobinautes, soit plus que ceux des Etats-Unis, de lâInde, du BrĂ©sil et de la France rĂ©unis. 400 millions dâentre eux sont clients chez Alibaba. Le chiffre dâaffaires du groupe est donc supĂ©rieur Ă celui rĂ©alisĂ© par lâensemble des acteurs du commerce Ă©lectronique aux Etats-Unis.
Câest en 2009, Ă lâoccasion du lancement de la journĂ©e des cĂ©libataires, un Ă©vĂ©nement depuis phare en Chine pour le commerce Ă©lectronique, quâAlibaba dĂ©cide de muscler ses ressources informatiques et de les ouvrir Ă des clients Ă la recherche de puissance de calcul et de stockage. Alicloud est nĂ©, et ses promoteurs utilisent toujours les mĂ©triques relevĂ©es lors du jour des cĂ©libataires pour dĂ©montrer la performance de lâinfrastructure : 140 000 connexions simultanĂ©es par seconde lors de lâĂ©dition 2015.
