Tess was sitting on a bench at the park, the sunshine beaming down through the branches of the tall trees surrounding her. It was a warm day for Spring and she enjoyed staying out in the open, watching as people went about their business. A group of children ran past her, screaming and laughing as they played and she found herself smiling softly as she opened her book, intentioned to do some reading. She'd gone through maybe ten pages when she realized someone had stopped right in front of her, blocking the light. "Yes?" she asked as she looked up at them.
