summary âââ
born into pureblood society but too Loud⢠to really ever fit inÂ
was involved in the dueling club, astronomy club, care of magical creatures club, gobstones club.... she always just did too much, since she was burdened with familial responsibility, and born with a proclivity for overachieving and burning herself out.Â
is born into the sacred 28, and jives with it for a while; sheâs a habitual people-pleaser but soon learns that her empathy and her capacity for protecting those who cannot protect themselves far outweighs family ideals.Â
also bigot who???? she canât relateÂ
but with a dubious family life, sheâs used to maintaining the facade; when she is ready to graduate, she is contacted by Albus Dumbledore, who asks her to maintain contact with her Sacred 28 contacts during her auror training. and so she does as she is asked, and then is placed under heavy scrutiny for her connections to a cause that is very much not her own.Â
so basically sheâs a hard-ass auror with a potty mouth and a proclivity for tackling bad guys, but when sheâs asked to go under cover... who is she to say no?Â
was thought to be the spoiled little rich girl, but sheâs not above taking a punch
and so she âdefectedâ and joined the death eaters
it was an enormous public scandal, and her name was sullied, but what are ya gonna do lmao
sheâs a mom friend thatâs hardass afraid of kidsÂ
has a bit of a dependency on alcohol, and a dear love of cigarettes -- but if frank, whoâs basically the only person still close to her in secret at the moment, were to ask her to quit... sheâd do itÂ
basically has the worst daddy issues ever to the point that sheâd infiltrate her dadâs friend group in the name of fucking them up, even if it means sheâs found out and killed, so fuck dads am i right???

NAME: Alice Fortescue.
GENDER & PRONOUNS: Cisfemale, she/her.
HOUSE & YEAR: Gryffindor, 7th.
BLOOD STATUS: Pureblood.
AFFILIATION: Order of the Phoenix.
WHAT DO THE RUMORS SAY.
POSITIVES: Passionate, ebullient, curious.
NEGATIVES: Impatient, blunt, impulsive.
LOOKS LIKE: Ana de Armas.
WHAT IS THE TRUE STORY.
Wishes to become an Auror once she finishes school.Â
Always rushing into fights and dangerous situations headfirst.
Incredibly kind and selfless, but often to her own detriment.
A talented student, though her impatience will sometimes fault her.
Passionate to a fault, but tends to get across a little brusque at times.
The world learned early on Alice Fortescue wasnât meant to be contained. Living in a small flat with her family through her childhood, the girl was hardly ever there. If she wasnât off getting into some sort of mischief Alice was with her grandfather, helping out at his ice cream parlor. While most of her days she was helping her family, one would never catch the girl complaining. She valued the long hours at the shop, and between serving customers young Alice got a hand in testing out new flavors the man planned to sell. Her parents blamed him for their daughterâs sweet tooth, but Florean said she had something specialâ- always picked the best selling flavors. Made young Alice beam right up upon hearing it.
Her childhood would be something she would grow to treasure. Alice was incredibly close to her family, even if she was a bit of a reckless child. Her parents didnât quite know what they were getting into, at least not until Alice went to Hogwarts.
While the Fortescues were purebloods, they didnât hold the sameâŚextreme beliefs many others did. The girl was raised to be caring of others, even if she didnât know them. However, she learned quickly not everyone was raised with the same memo. On Aliceâs very first day of school she got in trouble for jumping in the way of another first year getting made fun of. The other girl looked to be scared of the older student, and without thinking she ran in to get the heat of the fire. The only thing the older student didnât expect was Alice wasnât afraid to fire back, no matter how deceiving her small stature was. Even at a young age the Gryffindor couldnât stand back and watch others get hurtâ- it just wasnât in her blood.
As her years progressed at school Alice managed to make quite a name for herself rather quickly. The girl got remarkable grades in almost all of her classes, earning the good graces with most of her professors in the process. The Gryffindor even helped tutor students in her classes who needed the extra helpâ- though most didnât know what the weâre getting into. Her patience got the best of her, and on the few occasions she stumbled upon others just trying to use her to copy off her work they got a wraith which rivaled McGonagallâs on a bad day.
While Alice adores her days at school with her friends, she wasnât blind to the cruelty which went on around them. Hours she was free from classes she could be found petitioning for equality for all studentsâ- stating someone had to get the point across more often with the world they live in. People could be cruel, and as the world continued to get worse she felt helpless. Alice almost felt trapped, and she absolutely hated it.
It was right before her sixth year ended the Gryffindor sat down with her Head of Houseâ- expressing her frustrations of wanting to help make a difference. Alice looked up to McGonagall and found it easy to talk to the woman when she was homesick. It was her who sparked Aliceâs dream of becoming an Auror. With her exceptional grades and determination she was told sheâd make for a perfect Aurorâ- one the Ministry desperately needed.
Rather than spending her summer at an internship like most students who desired any Ministry job, Alice went back home and worked at her familyâs ice cream shop like she did every summer. She might have chose what seemed to be a dull summer of working with her family, but Alice valued her time with them. She adored her grandfatherâs History of Magic lessons he gave her, swearing he knew more than her professor. It was a mundane summer to say the least, but the girl had a bright future ahead of her. It was Aliceâs last summer to settle down before sheâd make an explosion people wouldnât expect from her.

âł INTRODUCTION
You always treasured the most delicate things. A child of spring, you rushed home to your mother, flowers held inside tightly clenched hands. Their petals wilting away as sweat pooled inside your fists, blood dripping from pricked finger tips. The roses always died, but it was the thorns that left their mark on you. Flowers bear no weight on your conscience, for you have smothered more than plants since your youth. Sweet girl, youâve always been a killer, watching as the things you hold dearest wither away, Thank the thorns as you say your goodbyes, for theyâre responsible for the poison buried just beneath your skin.
ALICE LONGBOTTOMÂ ISÂ CLOSED.
âł STORY
Try as she might, Alice Longbottom never fit the mold her mother hoped she would. A sharp girl with an intellect her mother despised, Alice devoured every bit of knowledge she could get her grubby hands on. Of course, her mother wanted Alice to be educated, but that wasnât her priority. No, Alice wasnât meant to be a scholar, but instead a pretty china doll. She was meant to appear soft, but untouchable; be sweet, but careful enough to never let her emotions spill over. Most of the girls she grew up with were raised the same. It wasnât until she was older that Alice realized she was being groomed for marriage. It wasnât unusual for purebloods to have arranged marriages since birth, but that wasnât the case for Alice. Her family was one of the twenty-eight purest in Britain, but as her mother always reminded her, even among those families there was a hierarchy in place, and the Fawleys just didnât make the cut. Because of that, Alice had to be perfect, and for a while she really did try. She often picked her mother flowers from their greenhouse, but to her motherâs dismay, always dirtied her clothes in the process. During tea, Alice always grasped her teacup too tightly, and it was never long before it shattered in her hands. At gatherings, the other families whispered about what a disaster the Fawley girl was, and after some time even Aliceâs mother came to agree with them. Alice soon followed suit.Â
Insecure and uncertain, Hogwarts gave Alice a freedom sheâd never felt before and an opportunity to find herself. Still, she never did forget that the children who once teased her were also roaming the halls. Because of that, Alice found herself pulled toward the quieter corners of the castle. The greenhouse became her sanctuary. She thrived among the vines and the thorns, caring for the unsightly and dangerous plants no one else would touch. Unlike tea cups and clean linen dresses, she couldnât ruin them. When she wasnât in the greenhouse, she hid away in the library, watching the other students from afar. She saw everything. Classmates kissing by the forbidden section, fifth years pulling their hair out while they studied for their OWLs, and the quiet celebrations that came after a low, but triumphant murmur of âcheckmateâ. More often than not, they came from the same boy. Frank Longbottom was a few years older than Alice, and while she assumed he knew nothing of her, she knew his reputation well. Theyâd grown up in the same circles, but his surname carried a weight with it her mother wished the Fawley name had. Normally Alice would have left someone of his stature alone -- her motherâs words echoing in her ears:Â keep your head down, let them approach you, Alice --Â but something about the twinkle in his eye when he bested another student brought something out in her. The spirit of a small girl, who crushed teacups and tore chrysanthemums from her motherâs garden, wanted nothing more than to prove herself -- and so she did.
Alice married Frank shortly after sheâd finished her final year at Hogwarts. Sheâd never seen her mother smile as wide as she did at their wedding; it was a stark contrast to the sharp stares and upturned noses in the rest of the crowd as the new couple walked down the aisle. Alice knew, perhaps even better than Frank did, how much the other pureblood families hated that the Fawley girl was marrying a Longbottom. Aliceâs mother wanted her to be just like them, but it was only now that Alice realized, even if she had managed to follow her motherâs guidance, they never would have accepted her. After the wedding, Alice began a new job in the Ministryâs department of magical law enforcement. She was originally set to join the herbology department, but it was Aliceâs knowledge of dark and dangerous plants that helped her become an auror. At the time, one of the more senior aurors, a man who went by Moody, said he was looking to expand the departmentâs expertise, and Alice was unlike anyone else they had at the time. It wouldnât be until years later that Alice realized he wasnât recruiting her for the department, but for a secret organization called the Order of the Phoenix. She and her husband had both been recruited, and their time as aurors was merely a test to see if their blood status outweighed their sense of right and wrong. For a time, it seemed as though the Order was gaining ground on Lord Voldemort and his death eaters. When victory seemed certain, Alice and Frank let their guard down, and they werenât the only ones. Several other couples in the Order had children, or got pregnant around this time, leaving themselves vulnerable. But war can change in an instant, as it did on one quiet November night, when a green flash left her son limp and lifeless in a death eaterâs arms.Â
One month has passed since the attack on Malfoy Manor; itâs a nightmare Alice canât escape. She wakes each night, choking on the same deafening screams that stopped time that night. Each time sheâs shaken from her slumber, sheâs reminded not only of her sonâs death, but of how empty and alone her bed feels. Frank no longer sleeps beside her, or at all, for that matter. Heâs become obsessed with finding out what happened to their son, and Alice doesnât know whether she has the strength left to accept where her husbandâs search will lead him. Her motherâs outbursts play over and over in her mind --Â a disaster, a poison that ruins everything it touches -- and she canât help but wonder if she was right all along.Â

CONNECTIONS
frank longbottom; the better off as friends. it was the chatter around school during their second year, enough to follow her around at every corner that she turned. though they were witches and wizard and wix and may have more on their minds than the average muggle students, they were still adolescents, and never had been immune to the likes of gossip - of who was dating who, of who wanted to date who, or perhaps of who would never have a shot with who. during this time, though, it came in waves, talking of how alice fortescue and frank longbottom were already dating. and it wasnât untrue, as the two of them had decided to take the step into a relationship early in their friendship. it was aliceâs first venture into anything more than platonic, and she trusted and cared for frank. he was easily one of the smartest people sheâd ever met, and he had a heart that had enough love in it for everyone in the entire school. the two of them complemented and challenged each other to be better, and so aliceâs friends would look on and comment about how she had the perfect relationship. if only that was the case. though alice cared for frank, and wanted nothing more than to make him happy, she eventually learned that there was a big hurdle in their relationship that she wasnât sure she could overcome. though she believed she was romantically interested in frank, she was never particularly interested in anything sexual with him. she accounted these thoughts up to nervousness or hesitation, and went through with sleeping with him, hoping that her mind would change - but it remained the same. though she may have had feelings for him, the sexual attraction just wasnât there on her part, and it wasnât something that she could give him. after telling him this, she knew that it would most likely be the end of their relationship, as asking someone to sacrifice this sort of thing was a big step, especially in their first relationship. frank was understanding and kind and said he wanted her to be happy, which is why they decided that perhaps they were better off as friends instead.Â
alecto carrow; the hopeful. itâs easy to understand why alice can sometimes be envisioned as a person who is difficult to approach. sheâs an explosive personality thatâs sometimes hard to pin down, for sheâs tough and intimidating and blunt. sheâll get in fights for the sake of getting in them, and make a point of proving people wrong when she doesnât agree with them. itâs because of this that people can sometimes describe her as scary. but on the other hand, when push comes to shove, can also be extremely kind. itâs rarer to see her with gentle hands than balled up fists, or her lips drawn into a soft smile than gritted teeth - but itâs happened. the question that usually ends up on most peopleâs minds is how do they know which reaction theyâll get out of her, as the gentle side of her is rarer to see. more often than not, itâs usually only directed at few people. alecto carrow seems to be one of the biggest recipients of it - and has proven to be the biggest challenge. considering how often alice saw them with a scowl on their face, it originally just started with a smile and a hope of trying to get them look less miserable. but time and time again, these attempts go unrequited, and it onlys serves to make alice more frustrated. itâs clear that there is something within alecto that is leaving the other at unease with themselves, but alice canât understand what it is - and thatâs what pushes her even further to try and reach the other. all of her attempts have been fruitless, resulting in alecto rebuffing her constantly. itâs beginning to leave alice wondering whether itâs personal, and whether alecto is simply introverted, or doesnât want anything to do with her. sheâs yet to give up, however, still persisting.Â
rabastan lestrange; the careful. itâs a bit of an ironic coincidence, to be in a house like slytherin - one steeped in itâs pureblood fascination - and to carry her halfblood self through the passage of the house, dressed in their colors. alice is anything but ashamed or timid in regards to her house, and she refuses to let people who find their strength in this sort of childish bully intimidate her. though she may not be a target as compared to muggleborns, she cannot stand to see it happen, and is unafraid to raise her voice to those who might question her or speak out in favor of such an idea. thereâs a select group of people that she chooses to avoid who have made their stance known on this - hestia jones, regulus black, and emma vanity just to name a few. and she knows that itâs easy to stick rabastanâs name in there as well, considering that heâs often found in the presence of that group. but for her, itâs almost impossible to avoid rabastan, considering that theyâre together most of the day. whether itâs during class, or during prefect rounds, or on the quidditch pitch, rabastan is usually by her side. perhaps if it was anyone else, she wouldnât think twice about saying what crosses her mind whenever she sees that group of people open their mouths. but the truth is that sheâs seen what rabastan is like with those select slytherins, and sheâs seen what heâs like on his own - and itâs almost as if heâs two completely different people. whereas the one thatâs surrounded by the other pureblood idealists is arrogant and loudmouthed, the one that alice will find herself doing rounds with is more aware and introverted. alice realizes that itâs not fair to give people who have these sorts of despicable prejudices a second chance, but with rabastan she constantly finds herself questioning what the truth is - who is the real person, and who is the facade.Â
septima vector; the watchful. when alice received the prefectâs badge in the mail during the summer before fifth year, she originally had thought there was a mistake. there couldnât have been a way that she was selected prefect, out of everyone else in the house. after all, she did spend quite a bit of time in detention, some of which were from having gotten into fights with fellow students. but they assured her that it was no mistake, that they considered to be someone that they could trust with these sorts of responsibilities, and that she was someone that her peers would respect. she took that as an honor, and told herself that from that point on, she was going to try and be someone who got into less fights, and was someone who could be seen as more of a role model. it wasnât exactly an easy task, but slowly and surely she did reform herself, into someone whoâs voice is heard telling people that theyâre out past curfew instead of shouting loudly across the hall that someoneâs opinion is stupid. if they wanted her to be a prefect, she was going to be a damn good one - and one who didnât let anything slip past her. rules were rules, after all. but being a prefect has itâs curiosities, and when sheâs doing her rounds, seeing people who are out past curfew or catching people in dorms that theyâre not supposed to be in - she canât help but wonder what theyâre doing. lately sheâs been catching one particular ravenclaw out past curfew just about every night sheâs on her rounds. and though sheâs repeatedly given the girl detentions, it doesnât seem to mean anything or deter her from what sheâs doing, as alice will continue to see her out in the corridors after the time that people shouldâve gone to sleep. sheâs considered asking the girl what sheâs doing - but itâs not her concern. not her job.Â
ALICE FORTESCUE IS PORTRAYED BY KAREN FUKUHARA, AND SHE IS OPEN FOR APPLICATION.
Alice Fortescue is a TWENTY-THREE year old PUREBLOOD, they graduated from HOGWARTS from RAVENCLAW house and are portrayed by CAMILA MENDES on the dash.
AESTHETIC;
Butterflies, birds, pet owl, records, sleeping in late, friends, cups of tea, photography, posing like a model, scrapbooking, riding a bike.
BIOGRAPHY;
Alice Fortescue was born as the sky split in two- Uncle Florean likes to say the storm outside took possession of her soul from the moment she emitted her first cry. Not due to the fact that she brings misery, he had explained as his six year old niece cried when he first made the analogy, but because she was one big contradiction: she had the ability to bring both life and destruction to everything she touched. She could either be a comforting background noise or a demand to be heard. â You can do anything you want with this world- you have that ability.â he had finished, pulling her into a hug as the pair waited for word about her parents.
Fydor and Ignacia Florean were the loveliest pair around town- just ask their neighbors. Fydor being a Squib and Ignacia being a muggle meant that Alice had a fairly normal childhood. Her father worked at a music shop, her mother at the local elementary school. They loved each other, they loved their daughter, and everything was perfect. Until, of course, it wasnât. In the blink of an eye, her parents car is found by the side of the road. âAn accident.â the muggle police rule it, but even Uncle Florean is unable to shield Alice from all of the wizarding world gossip- or the fact that âSQUIB SCUMâ was written across the hood of their car in blood. This was the moment when Alice decided she wanted to become an Auror. Not exactly, of course: she didnât know what that was at the time. But this was what caused her to see injustice in the world and vow to devote her life fighting it.
The next six years were spent with Uncle Florean and Aunt Dezmelda in Diagon Alley, before she was shipped off to Hogwarts. During this time, she became quite the polymath- she met so many different people who imparted such different kinds of information to her, whether it was how to waltz or that a bolt of lightning is six times hotter than the sun. She learned that when you blush, the lining of your stomach also turns red while a Healer from Germany taught her how to set a broken bone. It was then that Alice discovered her love for learning, which caused her to be one of, if not THE, most excited kid on the Hogwarts Express.
There, by the way, is where she met Frank Longbottom. He stumbles into her compartment halfway through the journey, all messy hair and a kind smile. â Can I sit here? My friends are being prats.â are the first words he ever speaks to her, and for some reason, she lets him stay. Theyâre thick as thieves after that, despite him being a bit older. And thatâs the story of how she met her best friend.
Once she gets to Hogwarts, itâs almost exactly what she imagined: her days are filled with so much knowledge, and sure, there are annoying people, and she still isnât the biggest Quidditch fan, though she does go to support her friends, but once everyone gets over the fact that yes, her parents were murdered and yes, she was a hatstall for like four minutes as the hat couldnât decide if she would be better in Slytherin or Ravenclaw, everything is pretty smooth sailing. Of course, thatâs when tragedy strikes.
Dezmelda Fortescueâs body is found in a river near her childhood home. The case is closed without ever finding the murderer, but there are whispers that she was killed for being a âblood traitorâ. Of course, this is when Alice looses it. There are more and more papers with missing people, whispers of Death Eaters as they progress through fifth year, and Alice decides she wonât sit down and take it any longer. Â She reads and reads and reads everything about Wizarding Law, rocks her N.E. W. T. S and gets to Auror training faster than anyone can blink. She wonât just sit back and see innocents subjected to abuse by those who deem themselves âmore worthyâ of jack.

ALICE FORTESCUE â SEVENTH YEAR â PUREBLOOD â RAVENCLAW
This character is portrayed by [ stefanie scott, jasmine sanders, nicola peltz ] and is [OPEN].
BEFORE HOGWARTS
Alice grew up cherished and loved. Her father was known as the âice cream manâ. Alice spent most of her days in the shop with her parents. Her mother, a French witch who had moved to England for Mr. Fortescue was the one who named every flavor in the establishment. She knew every flavor by the time she was five. When she wasnât at the shop, she was playing in the flower fields behind the Fortescue home. Daisies and Roses would soon become her favorite things to wear in her hair.
Before leaving to Hogwarts, tragedy stuck the family. Aliceâs mother was murdered. They believe it was by members of her mothers family. Though, no one knows. Miss. Fortescue began to change. Once a naive girl grew to be a victim of the war, she began to study and read, she was going to learn even if it killed her.
AT HOGWARTS
Once Alice got to Hogwarts, everyone knew what house she would be in. Her father and grandparents had been in Ravenclaw - it was only natural. Books and clubs were what kept her grounded. Dueling Club was where she showed her true potential, numerous people were genuinely afraid to duel her. During one week of the club, she met Frank Longbottom and a friendship began. They bonded over their mutual love of the Auror department and how they both intended to join. Frank was the only one to know about her mother to the complete details.
Alice began to read more and study harder. She had decided not long after her mother died that she wanted to become an Auror. They were the people who tried to find her mothers killer, Alice wanted to be better though. She actually wanted to find the murderers. She became known as the fast one, a nickname given to her because of how fast she could knock you on your ass. A befitting nickname, really. Frank and her began to grow closer and are now considered best friends, two peas in a pod.
She is finally in her last year and is working to complete her NEWTâs. Alice has already contacted the Auror department about apply, something she is determined to do. In her free time, she knits, something only Frank and those closest to her knows about.
EXTRA BITS
When Aliceâs mother was killed, she did a complete 180. Once upon a time she wanted to be a Healer, like her mother, but things changed. Knitting reminds her of her mother, she mostly knits hats and gloves for the younger students within the castle.Â
Her favorite thing to read is Shakespeare, itâs a hobby.
i feel like itâs necessary to give a little background to the five frenchies iâve got b/c iâm too lazy to do a real bio for any of them yet.
alice, ezra, ruby, nova, and henry are all from Marseilles, France
henry, ezra, and ruby together are a band called KNOVVLEDGE
henry plays the guitar, and heâs just a chill little guy who minds his own business and isnât particularly interested in the fame theyâve got
ezra is the diva lead singer who acts like he owns the place anytime he goes anywhere, and heâs a total ladies man who soaks up the fame like a sponge
ruby is the one who brought the two idiots together and sheâs the drummer. sheâs tough and fiery and is the only person in the world that can control ezra
alice and nova are NOT in the band
alice is ezraâs younger sister, and sheâs not too pleased about living in the shadow of her brotherâs huge ego her entire life, so sheâs quite bitchy.Â
nova is rubyâs twin sister and theyâre often mistaken for each other (enough that even henry and ezra have problems discerning the two sometimes) and sheâs a total space geek, like, talk to her about stars or the moon and sheâll love you forever.
