Oh man, I know about this as well. I mean, sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet. But let yourself make mistakes and warm back up at the beginning of drawing again. Maybe start by doing something silly with low pressure! Just doodle some chickens! Find some of those Drawing Challenges that give you a subject if you don’t know what to draw. Putting on a movie and sketching always works for me because I don’t hyper focus in on my work, it feels more relaxed and it plants me somewhere for at least an hour. Good luck!

Oh!!! Thank you! :D Well, brush control takes a long time to get used to and I’m still figuring it out myself. But it helps to just take a piece of scrap paper and train yourself by drawing boxes and filling those boxes with fine brush lines as tightly and as neatly as you can. It’s just a lot of hand training, because brushes are very sensitive, and it helps to have a nice brush! I use round tip watercolor brushes for inking, usually a #2 or #3 in size but they do get even smaller. The brush I use most for fine lining is a #2 Raphael Kolinsky sable, fine pointed round. http://www.dickblick.com/products/raphael-kolinsky-red-sable-fine-pointed-round/They’re pricy brushes (they run like >$20 in art stores so get them online instead where they’re usually half price) so I only have a couple of them. I have some Princeton brushes that are a lot cheaper and the same size (technically) but the Raphaels will ALWAYS get a way finer line than other brushes of the same size.
