okay

this is going to be an interesting story just prepare yourself

so back in like 8th grade, my friends and i foudn this thing called the “semeuke" quiz which, for those of you who have never been exposed to gay anime shit, semes are considered the “pitchers/givers/tops" in romantic relationships and ukes were considered the “catchers/takers/bottoms". what this quiz told you was if you were a top or bottom and what kind you were, what tops and bottoms you were compatible with, and other personality information and shit. ((for anyone interested, you can find that quiz here))

WELL after discovering this special quiz, we ended up making up characters based off of those different types and I guess eventually our own personalities? Like I developed Samuel and Samantha, twins who represented different sides of me, Sam being the sarcastic, “i don’t give a fuck" asshole and Samantha being the depressed, darker side. Emily aka alexjackscarf made Danny, someone who started out as cutesy with a sweet tooth (and eventually developed), Mara was (even though I made this character, she changed it around to something else) Violet Turner, a lolita esque girl that we just teased around all the time ("violet doesnt have a pussy!) and Brian was Jason Turner, an emo dick wad that was Violet’s brother ((who had a completely straight sexuality that curved slightly for his sister)).

Danny and Sammy were actually this gay couple that sort of kind of brought Emily and I together?? Like i started developing romantic feelings for her through our little………………roleplays and yeah we can leave it all to them

but the thing about it was that it eventually went so much further. We gave them all long back stories, Danny had a schizophrenic, abusive mother and Sam and Samantha had an alcoholic and neglective father and Violet and Jason had two gay dads and a three legged dog named Kevin. And Jason had a girlfriend named Faith that was extremely depressed and threw herself off a cliff and he tried to save her but he nearly fell off if it wasn’t for Violet holding him back. Danny was attacked by a dog when he was little and has scars going down his chest from it and is now extremely afraid of dogs. Samantha used to be eerily obsessed with Danny but they ended up developing a deep friendship. Violet is a lesbian even though she isn’t but really let’s be honest she is. Sam is ADHD and OCD and gets frjckign pissed off whenever someone steals his candy or messes up his room.

We based them all off of the song Weightless by ATL and to be honest dude like as stupid as it sounds these literally brought my friends together and gave us mountains of inside jokes and stories and idk yeah

im going to talk about my two favorites though

the first emily i ever met. aka you tumblr user astrolatry was an awkward little first grader that followed me around. tbh it felt like having my own little clique. but that awkward little emily grew up to adopt the japanese word for cat as a nickname and become quite possibly the most interesting, laid back, hilarious and creepy person i’ve ever met. it’s really difficult to get bored around her because she’s just really easy to talk to and she lets me her eat potato burritos that have beef in them even though i am a vegetarian. she also is good with a whip. thank u.

now lol let’s talk about emily aka my favorite person to walk this earth. she’s breathtakingly beautiful and always manages to make me smile and unconditionally happy. it’s people like her that convince me that i can get better, and it’s her that makes me better continually. i’m so glad to call her mine because she means the absolute world to me, as we’ve known each other for around eight years, six years of friendship, two years dating. i’ve never been in another relationship, but that’s alright with me for now. she continues to support me and inspire me and i’m more than willing to do the same for her.
