Dropping a new oneshot today at 3pm EST
I’ve written like 5 different scenes for my upcoming series and I just keep avoiding writing the others to tie them together by revising the other scenes.
Someone help me 😬
still haven't gone back to daily poetry exercises bc i keep forgetting but this is a recent one
———
grief silently stretching through lungs
an interconnected mycorrhizal network an infection digging deep, growing roots
strands of ancient asbestos accumulating wrapping around scar tissue & squeezing tight
cough up spores, fibres, flowers, rotten petals
hold out hands to catch them, keep them invisible & harmless, but a parasite to its host
leeching life, tar trapping oxygen, killing alveoli by suffocating tissue, unmoved by heaving
throw up the past and call it childhood, call it memory, call it inevitable & fungus your home
breathe until it aches then keep breathing keep coughing until roots grow from your throat until
you are dead-alive & grief hidden marrow-deep.

Glee Observations: episode Sexy
IDK what else to tile this but my NBK post made me think of something.
This is actually going to praise RIB for something, so buckle in.
Glee did a lot of things wrong, but I think they also had one of the most important scenes (in 2011) that I think tends to go under looked when discussing the very well-written and inspiring father/son relationship between Kurt and Burt.
In Sexy, we have Burt, who is very much an all-American man’s man. Blue collar, a mechanic, generally a character who is usually the point of conflict and plot for homophobia in media. However, we’ve already established Burt Hummel loves his son very dearly, embraces the fact he’s gay, will tear anyone down who tries to tell his son otherwise.
So to have a scene in which this very man (the all-american man’s man) sit down with his son and have the sex talk, having actually done his research on gay sex, and stresses that his son not only has to be safe, but understand the intimacy of it all as well-
Klaine AU : Untitled
He was just about to shift again when he said a very soggy Blaine Anderson walk through the door, the bells attached signaling his arrival. Kurt smiled as Blaine shook his head in an attempt to dry off, but all he succeeded in doing was shaking his curls free of the hair gel he seemed to be addicted to. Blaine looked up,and seeing Kurt smile at him, smiled back and made his way over to his boyfriend. Kurt stood and wrapped his arms around the blazer clad boy, ignoring the fact that Blaine was soaked and that he was wearing a very expensive vest.
"Sorry I took so long, West wants us in tip-top shape for parent-teacher night next week."
"It's fine, Blaine, but your coffees cold. I'll go get you a new one while you dry off."
Blaine caught Kurt's hand as he went to turn, pulling him in close and looking into Kurt's eyes. "You are the best." Blaine murmured, smiling softly. He squeezed Kurt's hand.
Kurt felt his breath catch a bit and his heart flutter, as his lips formed a small smile. "I know." He turned and hear Blaine softly chuckling behind him as he made his way to the counter. A perky girl with a name tag that said "Olive" appeared behind the register.
"Back for more?" She chirped.
Kurt smiled, "This is actually for my boyfriend over there." He pointed behind him,and the girl peeked behind him and frowned minutely, but Kurt chose to ignore it. "I'll take another medium drip, please." The girl nodded answer quickly made up the drink, handing it to Kurt and taking the money in turn. "Keep the change." Kurt said, and walked back to the table. Olive watched as Kurt sat down and put the drink on the table across from him. She frowned again. Suddenly her manager came up besides her, making her jump. He noticed who she was staring at and turned to her.
"That's Kurt Hummel." He stated knowingly, seeing her confusion.
"He just bought a drink for his boyfriend. Who's his boyfriend?" She asked, puzzled.
Her manager looked back at her with a serious face. "Blaine Anderson..." He started. "Blaine Anderson was his boyfriend. " He paused again. "A couple years ago Blaine and Kurt were on the way to a party, after Kurts's graduation, when they were struck by a drunk driver."
Olive let out a small gasp.
Her manager continued solemnly. "Blaine was killed on impact, but Kurt lived. Barely. " Olive took a quick look at the smiling young man she had just made a coffee for. He looked just fine when she took his order, but now he looked almost lost... smiling at an empty chair in front of him.
"Kurt went through months of physical therapy and counseling, and he was beginning to get better." His voice had lowered into a whisper. "But, just as things seemed to be returning to normal, his father died suddenly." Tear were welling in Olive's eyes now. "It must have been all the pain of stress." He said quietly, lifting his head in Kurt's direction. "He never fully got over it... it broke him.
"Oh God..." Whispered Olive.
"Now he lives with his step-brother, and on good days his brother lets him go out by himself. He comes here on those days. Sometimes he just sits, but other times he waits for Blaine and buys him coffee."
"That's awful."
"I know" Her manager nodded sadly. "He was going to be a star."
"How do you know all this?" Olive inquired softly, her head tilting slightly to the side.
"I knew him. We went to school together." He replied, looking away.
She nodded, saying nothing more, going to the back to collect herself.
Her manager turned, setting his eyes on Kurt, who was staring lovingly at nothingness. He sighed sadly, then, at the chime of the door opening, turned to take the newest customer's order.
