Az alcsúti uradalom 1819-ben került József nádor birtokába, aki mintegy két évtized alatt az ország egyik legjövedelmezőbb, -szervezettebb és -modernebb gazdaságává fejlesztette azt. Az ő nevéhez fűződik a Pollack Mihály tervei alapján épült kastély is. 1839 ben az Országos Gazdasági Egyesület megszemlélte a birtokot, majd az egyesület titkára, Török János közzétette az uradalom leírását. A sorozatból több füzet nem jelent meg. A magyar nyelvű változat igen ritka, aukciósházunknál még nem szerepelt. A 12 kihajtható melléklet között két nagyméretű litográfia található, Alcsútot és vonzáskörzetét ábrázoló veduták. A további mellékletek kihajtható műszaki rajzok mezőgazdasági gépekről és épületekről.
