With their clinching of the second American League Wild Card entry, the Minnesota Twins become the first team to lose 100 or more games one season and make the postseason the next. The Twins lost 103 games in 2016. Now I'm sure some might say "Well, if it was under the old format of only four playoff teams per league they wouldn't have gotten in." While that's true, you have to give credit where it's due. As a Yankees fan I'm not sleeping on the Twins. That Wild Card game is a crapshoot. It comes down to one single game. So any team is dangerous. Hopefully the Yankees can catch Boston and win the A.L. East and not have to worry about the Wild Card game.
