I was experimenting around with textures.

Okay, okay.

You all are yelling about albino Karkat, ginger Karkat, Arab-descent Karkat, Hispanic Karkat, white with red eyes Karkat, etc etc.

And everyone is like, "he needs to be DIFFERENT."

And I love all these Karkats. I love every Karkat ever who is grumpy and angry and defensive and feels like an asshole when he makes people cry. I love all these Karkats to pieces and I want to hug them all.

But Karkat looks like a normal troll.

No one even SUSPECTED he was a mutant. He was just hemoanonymous. Which I guess isn't even a crime or a huge deal if no one was making that big of stink about it, they were all just being nosy.

Karkat was afraid of BLEEDING. In troll terms this meant that people would learn his secret, he would get killed, yadda yadda.

But, in human terms?

I think Karkat would have hemophilia.

For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a genetic condition that makes it difficult for your blood to clot. You get cuts or bruises or sores and your blood will just kinda... keep coming.

I remember a kid in my elementary school had it and the teachers tried to make it out like no big deal, but every time he got hurt he would either go home for the day or be in the nurse's office for a while. Even a paper cut.

So, he could be any crazy karkat mentioned above (except... I think Hemophilia Albino!kat would be too much. I don't even think Karkat has that much bad luck) and have this ridiculous condition that makes him have to make a big stink about getting a scrape.
