I remember reading a bunch of stories like that. Mostly when they tried to join servers using ZDaemon.

never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite

its a relatively good game, but as it stands now i dont feel its as great of a game as its built up to be

enemy lineup is mostly just the same combine soldiers with the same few weapons, the weapons themselves dont exactly feel great with a few exceptions. the enemys ragdolling on death doesnt make things feel as impactful as they should imo

they repeat alot of the same style of physics puzzles with no real variety, lots of see saw puzzles

what i feel it does the best though is atmosphere. the sound design and overall presentation is done very well and i havent seen it replicated in any other game, its kinda hard to describe i guess

but as an actual game it doesnt stand up well to games that came before, have come since, or even its contemporaries really
