📢 Important Alberta Immigration Updates – March & April 2025 📢

Alberta has introduced several key changes to its immigration programs:

1️⃣ PTE Core Accepted for Language Proficiency: As of April 1, 2025, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) now accepts the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Core for language requirements. ​

2️⃣ Increased Application Fees: Effective April 1, 2025, application fees for AAIP worker streams have increased to $1,500. ​

3️⃣ Express Entry Profile Updates: Starting March 17, 2025, candidates can update their Express Entry profiles if they expire before a decision is made. ​

4️⃣ Opting Out of Federal Work Permit Policy: Alberta has chosen not to participate in the federal temporary work permit initiative for 2025. ​

5️⃣ Changes to Invitation Streams: The AAIP has ceased issuing invitations under the Family Connection and Occupation in Demand streams as of March 17, 2025. ​
