Her two versions of Alastor! Demon Al has a notch in his ear from a battle, his antlers grew back longer/more curved from the same battle. Black glasses in place of a monocle, and an ascot tie instead of a bowtie!
Human Al is largely the same as canon, except looks a bit older (grey in his hair; her Al was 40 when he died)

Who am I?
I'm a British woman with too much time on my hands, a doctorate to complete, and a multidisciplinary higher education in the Humanities. Oh, and a liberal sprinkling of neurodivergence, just for added flavour. Here, I want to satisfy my hyperfixation, keep my analytic skills sharp while I do my research, and also just have the opportunity to ramble. "Imagine a Y/N who went to hell around the same time as Pentious, so she never really understood the radio and television hype. She just prefers reading, and will learn her information via talking or the newspapers...."
An AMAZING commission from Alystania on Twitter of a scene from @hazbinhobelle and I's RP/Fanfic! Due to a malfunctioning machine built by Sir Pentious, the residents of Hell were turned back to their human forms for a time. Alastor has had romantic feelings for Ilaera for a little while, but Ilaera only had a vague friendly fondness... Into now. She discovered she was, ah, rather annoyingly attracted to him.
BUT they chat and decide to go to the zoo! And Ilaera takes her Polaroid camera, because of course she needs as many pictures of Alastor like this as possible. For normal reasons.
Below is a snippet of the scene from both perspectives!
"Darling, I've just remembered the reason we're here," Ilaera began, unhooking her arm from his to reach for the Polaroid camera around her neck. "We did speak about taking some photos in our messages, hm? I thought we might..."
She stepped closer to him, standing side by side - their faces almost level, with her in heels. How strange to finally feel his equal in so many ways, yet at the same time feel he was more unreachable than ever.
"...Take some commemorative photos. Of us." One visible teal eye glanced sidelong to him, gauging his reaction, before stepping slightly behind him to lean her chin on his shoulder, her left hand raising to position the polaroid level with their eyeline.
"Smile."
A click, a flash - if Alastor complied with her whispered request, she didn't know - but she felt the heat of him, of being this close. Her free hand longed to wander, to explore him in a way she'd never expected to want but now could not seem to stop wanting.
But as the photo printed, Ilaera stepped back, putting much needed distance between them, even as her pulse quickened in her chest and elsewhere. She busied herself with scrutinizing the photo, partially shielding it from the light as it developed. She had been right - the contrast between them did look quite stunning. She stared for a moment more before holding it out to Alastor.
Alastor flinched from her whispered words, so close to his ears - and human ears at that, much further down. It seemed more intimate without the bushy, furry appendages he usually had; she was right there, achingly close, her breath tickling the skin there. But he recovered after a second, beaming at the picture-box. "Never fully dressed without one!" he said back cheerfully.
Flash.
Alastor watched with mystified interest, like a dog being introduced to the concept of Norway, as the little machine whirred and then spat something out. He waited for her assessment, only to pluck the photo from her to inspect it. "Hm! There we are!" His smile grew fixed as he stared at it, his hand crossing the photo, still warm from the printing. He looked down at 'his' Ilaera - funny, how easily a photograph becomes your own, a memory made solid, the present made permanent.
His thumb caressed her cheek, and then he realised with a shock that he couldn’t rely on his fixed grin to hide his expression. He quickly rearranged his own features into something far more neutral. The act of disguising was difficult; he had hated, resented, and then learnt to appreciate that his Hellish appearance made deception easy, with his feelings - of despair, of sadness, of nostalgia - more easily hidden by a row of yellowish toothy jaws. He had to keep an eye on that, had to keep his composure. “Yes,” he managed. “Very nice!”
“Very nice,” he repeated, as a deep pain in his chest opened up like a yawning gulf. He shook it away with a shake of the head. "Shall we have another one for you, my dear? And then we aren't sharing custody! Haha!” Like a child! Like they were married or something! Hahahahaha!
Alastor wanted to be shot in the face. Again.
“Now, how does this work?"
Flash.
Not quite like that, as Alastor discovered. He had grabbed the camera and pressed a button at random. The result, when it came out, was more than a little wonky. It certainly lacked the artistic eye and the composition of Ilaera's snap. Taken from Alastor's height, it showed more of Ilaera's hair than her face, though what you could see of her was something of an indignant nose scrunch - and was slightly tilted on one side at a tipsy diagonal. Blurring showed in the corners, his outstretched arm in frame.
It was an utter travesty of a selfie, quite frankly.

This is a moment taken from a scene we wrote where Alastor has just reformed/come back to life after a bad brush with the Vees. Ilaera mercy-killed him, but they managed to get a notch off his ear, as well as took his antlers off. They grew back and the velvet needed to be peeled, which Ilaera helped with - and they shared a bit of a tender moment as Alastor also discovered his aversion to touch has lessened with this first death/reformation in Hell.

Emily - Swablu
Our happy, sunny Emily until the plot happens! Surely she deserves something as cute and as bubbly as her. Enter Swablu! With its lil cloud wings, it could follow her around in Heaven! Swablu is a really friendly Pokemon, and according to the Pokedex:
It lands on the heads of people and sits there like a cotton-fluff hat.
Imagine Emily with a Swablu hat. I want to beam this image into as many people's brains as possible. Imagine it. Also, Swablu is very into cleanliness, and I can see Emily's Swablu helping to tidy up Heaven after the events of series 2.
Charlie - Scorbunny
Energy! EXCITEMENT! DOING THINGS! Scorbunny is an active Pokemon that zips about and never stays still. Remind you of anyone? Charlie at her most....um, manic would need a pokemon who could keep up with her even in the wildest of song sequences. The fire alignment of Scorbunny works well with Charlie's powers too!
Sir Pentious - Rolycoly
I wanted to give Sir Pentious a Pokemon like Klang, but it seems far too modern for our lovely Steampunky inventor! Instead I chose Rolycoly, for that old-school inventor vibe. It even has that going on in its Pokedex!
Fittingly, this Pokémon was first discovered in coal mines about 400 years ago.
It could trundle after Sir Pentious in his steampunk ship and even provide free energy with that furnace-thing it has going on! Also, it would be hilarious if it ran over his tail and he was constantly yanking the tip of it out from underneath his Rolycoly.
Cherri Bomb - Torracat
Another fire-type Pokemon, I think the perfect companion for Cherri Bomb (and yes, this meta has moved on from Hazbin characters as Pokemon to companion Pokemon to Hazbin characters. Shush.) Cherri would need a Pokemon who was just as explosive as she is! And something that has the capacity to be cute and soft too, of course. But Torracat could give as good as it gets in battle!
It can act spoiled if it grows close to its Trainer. A powerful Pokémon, its sharp claws can leave its Trainer's whole body covered in scratches.
Cherri having to cede to her Torracat when it gets all spoiled and just picking it up like "you lil fucker!" in a strong Aussie accent. You can see it, can't you?
Vox - Tentacruel
Poor Vox. He wants to be Sharpedo so fucking badly. But listen, he has to be lowkey disappointed in himself across all metas, across all universes, so here he is being a Tentacruel instead! There aren't maaaaassive amounts of electronic Pokemon in the sense of laptops and appliances unless you go down the path of Rotom, so we're going to concentrate on his sea theming instead! I think it really highlights Vox's brutality and, yes, cruelty, behind the friendly public persona.
Velvette - Tsareena
For our fashion-conscious Vel, we had to choose a pokemon that would be suitably flash. Pink-tinged and very stereotypically feminine coded, Tsareena is a good match for her! I like Tapu Lele's colour-coding too, but that one just overall seemed way too fluffy and cute. Tsareena on the other hand has that sliiightly bitchy vibe, like the mean girl that Vel is at heart. Imagine Tsareena just turning on her heel in sync with Velvette after she's gone and verbally destroyed your 'fit.
Valentino - Blipbug
Okay, this is more of a crack choice. BUT you have to admit that with his myopia, and his skin colour, Blipbug and Val do have a passing resemblance. Sadly not so its Pokedex:
A constant collector of information, this Pokémon is very smart. Very strong is what it isn't.
If you juuuuust changed smart with strong and strong with smart, this would be fitting for our.....not fantastically bright Overlord.
Lilith - Houndoom
Perhaps not an obvious choice, but bear with me! Lilith takes to Hell to a much greater degree than her husband Lucifer did, and I just KNEW her horns reminded me of something. Houndoom is suitably Hellish in appearance and gives off spiky and edgy vibes that I think works with Lilith, who is never particularly portrayed as cute and cuddly and seems to be the queen of, um, hands-off parenting. Its Pokedex also focuses on its singing/howling ability, like Lilith's:
Upon hearing its eerie howls, other Pokémon get the shivers and head straight back to their nests.
And its capacity to cause lasting harm:
The flames it breathes when angry contain toxins. If they cause a burn, it will hurt forever.

Bonus Round! Ilaera Llewellyn - Indeedee

Who's this, you ask? Ilaera Llewellyn is an OC written by my writing partner @radio-sparks! Yes, yes, I know - shameless plug (can you plug something that's for free...?). Ghost in the Radio is a writing piece two years in the making, a form of post-series-1, VERY complex and slow-burn romance, at the moment totalling 700,000 words. No, I did not get the numbers wrong here - 700, 000.
Co-written by both of us, Ghost in the Radio explores sin and redemption (what else?) and in particular the nature of evil with two people who make each other worse, but also better, in strange and unexpected ways. It features advanced worldbuilding of the Hazbin Hotel world, a meaty storyline, and amazing writing from my partner (only serviceable writing from me, of course!). It's written by two women who are among other things on the ace spectrum, bisexual and disabled, so you know it's coming from a place of respect and awareness, and it's born out of a love for writing fiction and having fun but is also being prepared for Ao3 publication. Basically we're having so much fun we wanted to share it with everyone else!
But who's Ilaera? Ilaera is a Welsh photographer from the 1960s who is in search of the ultimate art form as she captures her victims teetering on the brink of death - the moment the light leaves their eyes. Seductive and power-hungry, she seeks to climb up the ranks of Hellish society come what may. She's not your average doe, that's for sure! The Indeedee here is the male form, but the female form looked too friendly for my favourite sociopath! If you're interested, check out the #alastera tag on my blog!
And with that, the Pokemon series is complete! Hang on in there (as I'm sure all 50 odd of my followers absolutely are on fucking tenterhooks /s) for my next few metas, hopefully with that Abel meta I keep procrastinating on coming soon!

So. Never before have I been so actually insane about a ship.
For the better part of a year my best friend ( @pentergeist / @hazbinhobelle ) and I (who I met through the fandom actually) have been writing a ship across various discord servers, having commissions done, making playlists, AUs, just being absolutely consumed by this fuckin thing lol.
As of writing this, we currently have 420k words and counting in written RP threads. And that is not including their texts where much of their early story was developed, or any headcanons we've written out! We might add the main story to AO3 eventually, but tbh at this point that would be a lot of work to reformat everything lol.
SO I thought, just in case anyone wants to read a VERY SLOW BURN SHIP (literally they're not even together yet in the main verse) that subverts gender roles, power dynamics, and a lot more.
Coming soon, once we have adapted it for Tumblr/Ao3! Please watch this space.
And we’re off! My bestie @radio-sparks and I have officially started the rewrite process for the front half of Ghost in the Radio, our Alastor x OC story and universe - otherwise known by the ship name Alastera.
GitR follows 1960s era Welsh photographer Ilaera Llewellyn and her tangled love affair with the Radio Demon, Alastor du Vernay, after the events of series 1 of Hazbin Hotel.
Mediums merge, opinions clash and there are many, many murders in this 18+ romp through the world of Hazbin, featuring original characters amidst the ones you know and love, written over a two year period. With an original plot, compelling writing and an OC you will question yourself and your morals for liking, Alastera is an exploration of dark love arcs, obsession and longing, but sprinkled with humour and fluff too. Don’t get us wrong: Ilaera is no blushing doe OC!
We’ll introduce Ilaera to you with more metas coming soon.
Alastera features original artwork from a variety of artists in the Hazbin community, and has a ‘wider universe’ of not one but two fully realised AUs, a songbook, and a collection of drabbles and other content stretching from Red Dead Redemption to Skyrim to anything in between.
GitR/Alastera is written by a pair of neurodivergent women, one of whom is disabled, the other on the ace spectrum, across the Atlantic. The project initially came out of a roleplay on Discord. We primarily write for ourselves but have since made the decision to share Alastera with a wider audience.
Today we started the framework for our rewrite of our earlier parts where we were still figuring things out. It’s a shorter list of things to be altered than we were expecting, and we are on course to release on Ao3 and Tumblr in 2026. Stay tuned!
