🧑🤝🧑 Alter and Renegade, tell us about your hosts, past and present

Alter puffs up very smugly and signs, 'Seth is best. No others compare.' He refuses to talk about the hosts before Seth, for worry they'd make his current host sad. A not unfounded worry with how Seth had reacted to the death of the snake Alter had used as a host immediately before.
"No," Renegade oozes into a hat on Sarah's head, "Private information requires consent. Consent to ask questions has been withdrawn." They don't like talking about the past, too much trauma they haven't yet healed from, but Sarah has been teaching them boundaries and they've taken the lessons to heart.
Mun: life before Earth was a very traumatic time for both of them. Forming close bonds with hosts was frowned upon to severely punished depending on who caught you. As part of the swarm you were a whole not an individual. The swarm had leaders of course, but they were bullies who considered themselves above the rules. You couldn't bond with a host because then that Klyntar might get ideas about love and family and belonging to something other than a genocidal tidal wave of biomass. So all their past hosts were either disposable meat suits or beings they'd become attached to against orders and then had said host horrible murdered in front of them as punishment. So trauma, so much trauma.
