I will never get tired of these villainess shows. If Japan wants to put out 5 a season, I’ll watch em all lol. Deen have really put a lot of effort into rebuilding their reputation the last few years. This and Shibouyugi look amazing!
Classic isekai otome villainess set up, feels a little like Dark History mixed with 7th loop. It’s obviously missing the comedic aspects from those series, but the original Tiararose being an asshole in the game and the reincarnated version trying to avoid that bad end, first prince from another kingdom saving her, etc. Nothing groundbreaking, but again, I’ll watch as many of these as they put out. Tiara is so cute and Aqua is hot, what more could you want?
That Akari bitch plays the cute heroine role well, but she’s obviously up to something too.
I think this is underrated and being review bombed, BUT I do hate when villainess shows have a lead that doesn’t even try to be a villainess 😭 not to mention the Aqua x Tiara romance feels like it’s happening way too quickly and too intensely. Like you were just engaged to Hartknights and now you’re head over heels for another guy, girl get it together, at least take a few episodes lol. The cookie feeding/picnic scene was cute I’ll admit, BUT it’s just hard to feel any sort of spark or chemistry with them because of the pacing.
Speaking of hartknights, now buddy wanna apologize and realize he did Tiara wrong? Too bad so sad little bro, you should’ve realized you were being an idiot and letting a girl you just met sway you way sooner. The fact Tiara clearly never even liked him romantically and saw him more as a brother that she could help develop as a prince is even funnier. “I never felt anything when Hartknights called me Tiara” lmaoooo. I imagine the rest of the series will be him dealing with the consequences of his stupidity and a love triangle. Akari clearly has some sort of magical hold over men too so I wonder how that’ll be explained.
I’m ngl I’ve never been less moved by a proposal and first kiss in my life. I love cookie cutter villainess shows, but with Aqua and Tiara madly in love after 3 episodes, what’s even the point of the story for the next 9 episodes lol? Where’s the conflict or anything to keep us watching?
Two months of them making googly eyes at each other? 😭 we’ll see what this spell Akari cast ends up being, hopefully it’s something to make this story somewhat interesting because it’s been a snooze fest thus far. Everything has happened way too quickly and conveniently for me to even care about the proposal. Tiara is cute, but that’s about it. Even with the backstory and seeing how Aqua pursued her… I just don’t really care about him?
someone will hate to see it but i will say that aquasteed has yandere potential but the series is cute and fluffy so i don't think they will expand on it
might be cool if the game had a yandere end for him

i don't really understand what olivia gains from this since icilla doesn't rlly count as the protagonist anymore, plus it seems she's not interested in aqua (she called off the engagement...)
olivia is more of a villainess than tiara herself though
i haven't read the manga but i doubt they got to this point, no visualisation is going to be a pain when they introduce new characters

i'll leave some parts of the novel here since the last part of the anime went in a different direction... i feel both works for me
aqua drank the tea (anime) / elliot drank the tea (novel)
tiara and icilla went to see pearl / icilla and elliot went to see peal - perhaps they felt it was better for tiara to be there since she's the mc?

have yet to see if the next letter from akari is true, it probs is for the novel to keep going
if i could give a rating, i'd say 4/5 - a work i like a lot but wouldn't call my favourite
now that i know where to read lns i might check out a few more, i saw quite a few stuff on pinterest
